I am still a Griz for life, just not going to support them the way I used to until some things get rectified.

One thing I will give ODay credit for is he always read and listened to my emails, he always returned my emails. The problem was it was his generic "I understand" response letter that was never going anywhere except the cyber trash can. He never offered any solutions or a game plan to get back on track. I told him the reason nothing gets done is because my complaints and checks come in with only 4 or 5 digits instead of 6 or 7. I then said the only leverage I have is to not complain and make my 4 or 5s.........zeros.

I had a very nice donation for the new weight room, locker room, academic center set up with 3 other donors......and now they wont get of it.

AG- You are a self admitted "conditional Griz" for life. As long as things are rocking and rolling--you are on board. When the ship hits some rough water--you bail when things don't go exactly as you want. 16k+ posts on egriz + Maroon blood. When the support may be needed the most, guys like you may not be there. Apparently you want to see the ship sink to prove yourself right.
Wrong

Prove it otherwise!
Seems as though you should move yourself and your financial and support to ND. You would blow NDSU's entire team for a snickers bar. You camp on e-griz, run maroon blood and now seem to hate the very UM/ Griz oriented thing that you seem to spend your existence pontificating on. You are a keyboard legend and perhaps the best troll ever....Either you're in as a Griz or out. Can't have it conditionally. Which will it be?

Its fu*king amazing you can be that wrong that much in one single post.

I don't own maroonblood. I sold it to a NDSU fan last June. Sorry if the truth hits you in the cockholster that hard........but its the truth.

I don't even like Snickers.....I'm a Kit Kat guy............

So, you sold "Maroon Blood" to a NDSU fan. Seriously? A self proclaimed "Griz for Life" and whoring out Maroon Blood to make a buck or two? AG...How much for Screaming Beagles madre?

Pretty sad. A guy is a fan and doesn't wear rose color glasses, so your pissed. I met Alpha in Grand Forks, had a blast. He loves football and love the Griz. Watching him and DJ Coulter analyze the game was amazing. Don't be mad at the guy because he is truthful. Take of the glasses.

Don't get mad, I like the Griz also, my wife is a huge fan, shit she use to date one of the quarterbacks years ago. We both cheer for both Montana teams, and I also cheer for the Sioux. You guys aren't as good as you think. I said it many times before this game, the Griz have played nobody. You keep talking up App State to make yourself feel good, well people they are good. The Griz looked good the first three games, because those teams sucked. Some of you are starting to get it. There is a good chance you lose to MSU, EWU, PSU, and Cal Poly. Usually a good team falters in one area, you were exposed in all last weekend. Live with it.

Lay off of Alpha, he is not afraid to take off the rose colored glasses, maybe the rest of you should also.

You should be embarrassed.

I bought it from two friends in Billings that started it. Message boards are not my thing so I sold it for what I paid for it. No whores here........

One less drunk driver to worry about in Missoula this weekend... Could careless if he jumps on to a different bandwagon or flavor of the year...

What gets me most with this last loss was it was a huge blow to my Griz pride. I so much wanted last year to be the effect of off field issues and coaching change etc, etc.

Beating App State and UND was a shot of feel good and made me think last year was an anomaly.

Then that crushing loss to NAU dismantled the foundation. It only made me see that last year has not passed and we are still very much in its grips.

I know I complained after the loss of Delaney and my feelings are still the same on that. However there is much more to all of this that needs to be fixed.

I don't usually agree with AG1 but he is right on this. UM needs sweeping changes to fix all this starting from the Engstrom down. I am tired of the hiring of people that only seem to have past ties to UM as well. Engstrom took the easy route and hired Delaney to be a stop gap. Engstrom got the job because everyone else took there name out of the running!

I will be 42 years old this year and have been a Griz fan from the age of 8! Hell I look at eGriz every damn day several time. I bleed all colors Griz old and new. I hate to say it but it's in my life and I could not dump it if I tried! I am addicted to it, being a Griz is who I am!

I think thats why all of this bothers me so much. It makes me sick to see teams that can barely get 2500 to 5000 people to show for a game field a team that can compete or even beat the Griz.

I have said before too much ground work has been done to let this program falter. We have a passionate fan base that expects this team to dominate and grow.

Sadly it seems we have leaders at UM that are more interested about lining there pockets and not looking at the big picture and doing what needs done.

Some people say relax it was one loss. No no its not and there is a very real possibility we have the same record as last year or worse. What really is bothersome is that if we have another loosing season I do not see a coaching change being made. Delaney is turning this program around! I understand you need to have clean kids in your program, but those clean kids need to be able to be coached and win games.

This season is one of the most important in Griz history. We need to have a solid season period! If that does not happen I shutter to think of what the future may hold fore our beloved Griz.

If the Griz get trucked this Saturday a coaching change must happen this year. UM needs to complete a TRUE national search and hire someone with no past ties to UM.

I do not want to see the Griz become an ISU or UNC of the BSC.

Question for you AG1. For you to donate name the one change you would need to see for that to happen. Honest question and hope for a no bull honest straight forward answer.

Tolstoy would be proud...

Agreed, Engstrom must go. He is not only destroying the football program but academics as well. Ever since he took office there has been a steady decline in enrollment and that all falls on him. As long as he is at UM the university is in deep $#!%.

This is ludicrous...agree the rolls Royce is incompetent, assuming he is competent enough to wreck the football program is pretty funny....   . It's one bad game, keep your sharp objects on the work bench, jiminy christmas people.

Right you are. And further, who the hell are these posters who say the only way to successful football is through bringing in outsiders? GFY! And take the Pat Kennedys and Jerry Glanvilles and your juco transfers with ya. Me, I am happy with the programs built by the Selvigs, Haucks, krystkoviaks, Phlugrads, Dennehys and yes Delaney who took on the job at the worst possible time and is clearly getting the Cadillac back on the road. We are number one in attendance in the FCS. This program isn't going anywhere any time soon. Bringing people up through the program, as players or assistant coaches instills identity. Of course the Don Reads are out there and don't get me wrong, he is the father of Griz Football, but the cupboard was empty in 1984. For the low money we offer who the hell you want, Sabin? We produce winners hear and that's who I want running the program. The Cats reached out and yes they ascended-good for them, but I for one enjoy the family that is Griz Athletics.

Oh, and I forgot THE MAN, coach Tinkle. Another Griz product who has furthered success at UM. thanks Wayne!

You both realize that Delaney was put in by Engstrom in a rather one sided deal. That set the wheels in motion for the team to perform how they did last season. It was not all bad coaching calls for sure but did not help by any means. So when you say one bad game you are dead wrong, just because last years six losses were close the big difference in at least half those losses were coaching blunders. That all revolves around Engstrom's decision in who he hired to clean up the program. How is that working out anyway, maybe should ask Hermanson that question.

The difference between the programs built by the former coaches you mention and Delaney is they drove and kept the so-called cadillac to the top of Mount Sentinel, so to speak, and kept it near the top (of the FCS) while Delaney hasn't been able to get it halfway up thus far. Time will tell if he can make it up there and I will give him the chance but after seeing last season and some calls last week I am not thinking they have enough power or gas to make it up there. At any rate Griz Nation, including me, could get behind him and help push them up the hill but I am not going to pretend this cadillac isn't starting to appear like a lemon.

I never once said they should bring in outsiders. I would rather Engstrom wasn't brought in as an outsider either. Take a look at the Bobcat advertisements continually played during Griz games. What is up with that. That doesn't help recruitment for academics or athletics. I agree the coaching staff should have an idea about the pride and tradition of the Griz, and what better way to do so than if they played here or at least went to school at UM.

I was wondering about Max Media, do they have a much bigger presence in Bozeman than Missoula, because it really seems like they promote the Cats more than the Griz during their telecasts?

Hey, I know, UM should start selling TV ads during Idaho State games! Oh, wait, Idaho State games aren't televised.

MSU prioritizes marketing; UM not so much.

10 yrs ago it was completely the opposite and UM realizes that now and is working hard on correcting it.

Here in Butte we have at least three new, huge UM billboards. There may be more but I have seen three: one on south Montana shows Griz athletics with Jordan Tripp front and center, along with basketball and other sports represented I think. There is one out on Harrison by Walmart touting 141,000 hours donated by UM student to communities and a third one, I think I say it on Continental, stating how UM leads the Rocky Mountain West in Rhodes Scholars.

A good start. But I agree about the Max Media thing. During the NoDak game I was "outraged and appalled" by the continuous MSU ads run at commercial breaks, with nary a UM ad to be seen. Thats just poor marketing strategy by somebody at UM or relative genius by somebody at State.

I havent seen them yet. I'll be sure to look for them! :thumb:

I have property on both sides of I-90 at Columbus and have offered several times to put up billboards, even at my own expense. No support; no nothing. Nobody home.
