I am still a Griz for life, just not going to support them the way I used to until some things get rectified.

One thing I will give ODay credit for is he always read and listened to my emails, he always returned my emails. The problem was it was his generic "I understand" response letter that was never going anywhere except the cyber trash can. He never offered any solutions or a game plan to get back on track. I told him the reason nothing gets done is because my complaints and checks come in with only 4 or 5 digits instead of 6 or 7. I then said the only leverage I have is to not complain and make my 4 or 5s.........zeros.

I had a very nice donation for the new weight room, locker room, academic center set up with 3 other donors......and now they wont get of it.

AG- You are a self admitted "conditional Griz" for life. As long as things are rocking and rolling--you are on board. When the ship hits some rough water--you bail when things don't go exactly as you want. 16k+ posts on egriz + Maroon blood. When the support may be needed the most, guys like you may not be there. Apparently you want to see the ship sink to prove yourself right.

Never liked Glenn.

I would be in favor of that high school coach in Utah that suspended his entire football team last week. He has balls and thinks outside the box.

I know Pflu was here before he was hired and that was the biggest part of why I didn't want him. We need new blood and you don't get that when your family tree doesn't branch.......take ARGH for instance.

Alpha, I do understand where you're coming from and I know a few others who think like you. But, the questions I have are these: what do the young men on the 2013 team have to do with what's happened in the past and why should they have to bear the brunt of your animosity?

One thing I can promise you... Not one player on that team gives a flying fcuk if Alpha is in the stands, or at the tailgates drinking his fat ass off on Saturdays.

Well put AG1. I can't tell you what to do you with your money or your big ass, so if you stop donating and stop putting your ass in your seat at wash-Griz, so be it, but I demand you don't stop posting on Egriz dammit.

I wont be there............not worth the drive

Its been a slow decline for me

It all started with not renewing my season tickets in 2007
Then I stopped donating money to UM in 2009 because of the thug culture Hauck brought in.
2010 I skipped a few home games I normally would have attended
Now I try to make more away games so UM and Missoula dont get any of my cash through other avenues.

I have kind of made up my mind that I will only go to road games next year, (NDSU, WHYoming, Ewu) with the exception of Griz/cat and that is just to hang out with some people and make sure I am not back in my seat for the start of the 3rd qtr.

Throw out the cliches, "yeah somebody else will take your tickets", "we dont need fans like you", "your fat and Hauck stole your girlfriend" :jack:

Keep your streak of being wrong......alive.

Its the only streak you have left due to the inbreeding and nepotistic practices that UM has shortsightedly been practicing decade after decade. I know more people like me than new bandwagon fans jumping on the downhill sled.

gawd, what a self-absorbed little fucking baby you are alpo. i can't waitt to read your next whiney little rant! i bet it is two posts down. maybe three.

Naw....it will be right after I respond to the guy that said I keyed my own car..........how about you hold your breath for that one?

Let me restate what I meant... They are not going to play worse knowing you're not there!

:thumb: When the chips are down Griz fans show up. It won't win the game but will show this team we are behind them. I'm there with 4 newbies

We'll be there -- driving from central Montana. Time to get over it and get on with it.

I think we're in for about four or five years of rebuilding this team from the ground up, including coaching staff, before we get back to where we were a few years ago.

But we'll still be there during those four or five years. We've gone to four NC games and watched the Griz lose every time, and that really hurts. But, to stop going because they didn't win one of those games??

To each his own, but we'll be there this Saturday.

The crowd needs to be absolutely Electric.

I'm talking so loud that you'll need to bring earbuds, I'm talking so loud that Portland State's false start counter goes into double digits, I'm talking so loud every time Peter Christian asks for a First Down Montana, the entire stadium shakes.

PSU is a very talented team, and will give the Griz a fight, but looking at some of their games, their discipline and focus is still lacking in some regard. Imagine how that would be with 26,000 screaming Griz fans every time their offense goes out on the field.

Of course, its still up to the Griz to show up and not repeat the same mistakes from NAU, but playing at home, with a raucous crowd supporting them might give them a psychological edge, if nothing else.

I did not see PSU play California but the fact that they went there and put up a strong fight makes me wonder how they will handle playing in front of a loud crowd at Washington Grizzly stadium. They are hard to figure out because sometimes they play the Griz tough while others they do not fare so well.

I remember back in 2009 or 10, I believe, they jumped out to a 17-0 lead at UM but ended up getting beat down the rest of the game. That season the offense struggled early and often so who knows.

As long as the Griz offense shows up this game and the defense plays like they did after spotting NAU 14 points the Griz should win. However, I expect a close game, at least for a half or so but it could go down to the wire.

Go Griz!!

What gets me most with this last loss was it was a huge blow to my Griz pride. I so much wanted last year to be the effect of off field issues and coaching change etc, etc.

Beating App State and UND was a shot of feel good and made me think last year was an anomaly.

Then that crushing loss to NAU dismantled the foundation. It only made me see that last year has not passed and we are still very much in its grips.

I know I complained after the loss of Delaney and my feelings are still the same on that. However there is much more to all of this that needs to be fixed.

I don't usually agree with AG1 but he is right on this. UM needs sweeping changes to fix all this starting from the Engstrom down. I am tired of the hiring of people that only seem to have past ties to UM as well. Engstrom took the easy route and hired Delaney to be a stop gap. Engstrom got the job because everyone else took there name out of the running!

I will be 42 years old this year and have been a Griz fan from the age of 8! Hell I look at eGriz every damn day several time. I bleed all colors Griz old and new. I hate to say it but it's in my life and I could not dump it if I tried! I am addicted to it, being a Griz is who I am!

I think thats why all of this bothers me so much. It makes me sick to see teams that can barely get 2500 to 5000 people to show for a game field a team that can compete or even beat the Griz.

I have said before too much ground work has been done to let this program falter. We have a passionate fan base that expects this team to dominate and grow.

Sadly it seems we have leaders at UM that are more interested about lining there pockets and not looking at the big picture and doing what needs done.

Some people say relax it was one loss. No no its not and there is a very real possibility we have the same record as last year or worse. What really is bothersome is that if we have another loosing season I do not see a coaching change being made. Delaney is turning this program around! I understand you need to have clean kids in your program, but those clean kids need to be able to be coached and win games.

This season is one of the most important in Griz history. We need to have a solid season period! If that does not happen I shutter to think of what the future may hold fore our beloved Griz.

If the Griz get trucked this Saturday a coaching change must happen this year. UM needs to complete a TRUE national search and hire someone with no past ties to UM.

I do not want to see the Griz become an ISU or UNC of the BSC.

Question for you AG1. For you to donate name the one change you would need to see for that to happen. Honest question and hope for a no bull honest straight forward answer.

It's also worth noting, the chips are not down in my opinion either. The Griz are 3-1 with eight games left. They are the 10th ranked team in the country and have every single goal that matters still being attainable.

And this notion that it's somehow the team's fault they have had a weak schedule and they got "exposed" against NAU is getting pretty stupid. NOT ONE SINGLE POSTER (Alpha excluded) posted facts that App. State was a bad team prior to Aug. 31. NOT ONE SINGLE POSTER posted facts to why UND was a horrible team prior to Sept. 13. All that was posted on here before those two games was how good those teams were and how huge a test they were for the Griz. It's not this team's fault they played bad teams, and against those bad teams, they did what they were supposed to do, which was beat the s--t out of them.

The Griz played poorly for ONE night thus far. There's is no more evidence to judge this team than that. If, in three weeks, they have played poorly two more times and are 3-3, then let's revisit the weak schedule and getting exposed talk.

Although I am surprised App St is what 1 and 3, I do not necessarily think they are a bad team. The Griz game is the only game they got blown out in, the other losses were only by 3 points. I think the last team to beat them is undefeated so it doesn't seem like they are playing real bad teams either.

They are a lot like the Griz in that they get everyone's best game because their opponents circle this game well before the season starts, especially this year with them moving up. Did they just get a new coach or was that last year? It may be a transition year for them but I expect them to make some noise still against good teams this season.

Agreed, Engstrom must go. He is not only destroying the football program but academics as well. Ever since he took office there has been a steady decline in enrollment and that all falls on him. As long as he is at UM the university is in deep $#!%.

I feel your pain, but have some faith. I truly believe this team is better than what we saw against NAU. Let's let October play out :thumb: .

AG1 has hated every coach, AD and QB the Griz have ever had. Anyone remember a positive post from Alpha? Time to pack the scratched up AG1 mobile and head east; maybe NDSU will welcome a cranky, racist, mysogynistic, cracker. We might miss a few laughs here, but I wont miss the perpetual anti-Griz sentiment from Alpha Douchebag-1. He's a shameless, self-promoting curmudgeon posing as a fan and an embarrassment to Griz Nation.

Pretty harsh, I know. And DB-1 is a sensitive little tyke, too.

Prove it otherwise!
Seems as though you should move yourself and your financial and support to ND. You would blow NDSU's entire team for a snickers bar. You camp on e-griz, run maroon blood and now seem to hate the very UM/ Griz oriented thing that you seem to spend your existence pontificating on. You are a keyboard legend and perhaps the best troll ever....Either you're in as a Griz or out. Can't have it conditionally. Which will it be?
