Dexter, you can say the Griz shoot well, but the stats show a different story, coming into the UNC game they were 68-230 from 3...a whoopoing 29.6%. They were also 236-355 from the free throw line for an astounding 66.5%. These are not good.
Are you kidding? This is an entire team failure...from coach to bench.....the worst game I have seen in years...looks like the Griz two years ago at UCSB...and UNR...bad teams beating the Griz badly.....back to square one, again......all that hard work preconference and now looks like they are also rans....one game does not make a season, but this team just rolled over.....grizd said:

GrizLA, I do not believe UNC is a bad team.
Everett, the Griz are easy to gameplan for because they are horrible from the perimeter. Every team they see will pack it in and force them to hit shots. On days the Griz can make some, they will perform well, but on days like today, they will get beat.
Nobody showed up tonight, not one person on the team! Cherry has been a great leader and a finisher, but tonight he didnt even try to take it over when he needed too! BAD GAME GRIZ! No effort at all! Selvig, Qvale, and Steward just sat back and watched UNC grab rebounds! Tinks better be chewing ass right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a poor effort against a very good team. That usually spells blowout, and it sure did today.
oops, I did not think any such thing...a colloquial expression....you cannot put emphasis on any one person in a game as poorly played as this....to do so only gives the pass to the others...this was a huge team collapse...maybe Autry could have ignited something...we will never know...you are very quick to anger, yourself, princess.grizd said:

I'll admit that... That's why (as I've been saying most of this year) I don't like seeing them chuck up more than 15 a game out there. That's a bad sign when they do. There are plenty of good teams out there that aren't very good at shooting 3 pointers.The Griz do however have a very good FG% overall, which indicates very good post play, and guard play getting good looks for other players (and themselves with their quickness) out there. Tonight we had neither. This was not the norm for the Griz...and I hope we don't see offense like that again for a loooong time!
As for the free throws...bleh...we aren't terrible, but not good either. Middle of the pack I think in the Big Sky right now for that. Some players (Ward) hit a very good percentage. Others make me scratch my head and wonder what happened
Sure that can, and actually has already, bite them in the ass. It's one of our weaknesses this year. There are MANY more strengths though that I think make the Griz a fairly good offensive team, and a very good defensive team on most nights.
