to be fair, he lost his first string qb for extended periods every year. according to some, he had a really bad qb his last year after phillips, who i thought was a good qb or even very good, went down in a meaningless game. but, he's gone, and it isn't like i am going to be a giant baby and quit supporting the griz in all aspects just because i didn't feel like the way the next hire was brought on. to be clear, it was the way it went down, the method, not the person hired, etc...

No one in Griz Nation but you was willing to retain Stitt for 3 years with the direction the program was headed. The discussions then fell apart, justifiably so, and Stitt's ego was on the road. Haslam's biggest mistake and nightmare was over.

I never referred to Hauck as Big Game Bob. Stop slandering me. I criticize every coach when warranted, and have been critical of Bobby in the past. I'm not a homer like so many on here. But you have had a hatred of Hauck for years, and a woody for Bob Stitt, who was a freaking joke as out head coach. The players hated him, and the fans hated him even more. You also loved Engstrom, who had more to do with ruining this university than anyone I know.

you guys keep making stuff up. i never professed any admiration for stitt as a person or a coach, and the last time around i was way, way less critical of hauck than you, alpo, and others. but keep trying. you remind me of the little pinks, aka the ultra-nationalist, ccp-loving computer trolls, going after everyone you think doesn't hold your exact same views, regardless of reality. i can just hear it now, as you all sing your propaganda songs! I think you may be thinking of me (who was one of the bigger defenders of Stitt early on)…but the bloom was off that rose for me when I witnessed in person the UNC game, which was in the middle of a terrific 1-4 finish to year two.
