Ok time to focus on Appalachian State

I for one, am having a hard time waiting for this game. Hopefully, it will be an ESPN event so that I can watch it. I hate that Root Sports has no online access.

They've not yet decided on going with ESPN for this game. Kent Haslam said that if they go that route the game will most likely get moved to a weekday and an odd/later time. They may be looking at Altitue or Max Media... or maybe even KPAX. Nothing's been decided but there's the concerns that going with ESPN will adjust the day the game will be played.

I hope it's a regional, as that would get a lot more far-flung Griz fans a chance to get to the game (including me and mine).

The game will be a sellout irrespective of what night it is. So I would guess the determinant would be television dollars.

I was at the Griz/App State game in Boone last year...under the lights. Not sure that App State gave a crap whether the Griz wanted to get on a flight back earlier. This game has epic event written all over it. Sure hope the admin. does what is best for Montana and the FCS. (7:00 p.m. kick-off would be perfect!) :clap:

It doesn't get dark till 9 in August so it will be hard to get a true night game. But a 6 pm start time would be sweet. Tailgate all day, game won't be too hot, and it'll end at dusk. Atmosphere would be amazing. I'll be less excited if the game starts at 3.

There seems to be this mentality in the Athletic Department that we have to coddle the away teams that play here. Who gives a damn what time App State wants to fly in and out? I have no idea if that actually is being taken into consideration regarding the start time but I hope it isn't. I was told that one of the issues with revovating our locker rooms is that we would also need to renovate the away team locker rooms. We in the hell would we renovate away locker rooms????

Anyways, I hope it is a night game, and I hope App State has ZERO input

I agree!! Legend has it that former Iowa football coach Hayden Frye had the visitors locker room painted pink as a means of disrespecting his opponents.

id imagine its because app is an east coast team and would then have to travel all day sunday and deal with jet lag and being prepared for classes on monday...i am assuming that the players interests come first as i hope you guys see it the same way. either way, its gonna be a party...and ill be there on wednesday....my liver might not make the return flight.

Monday will be Labor Day and I'm guessing a day off for the students?
