It very much seems like this coaching staff greatly benefitted by having a roster with a shit load of Covid year 5-6th year seniors.

But after they left this roster is absolutely fucked because of a couple of things. Coaching arrogance is one. Bobby’s open hatred for the transfer portal and what college football has become. And lastly the AD not realizing that with all of the benefits this university and city has to offer….we need a coach that is going to sell those attributes.

Long way to go starting tomorrow.

That may very well be the case, but he was, objectively, awarded the top player award. He probably knows the stakes of Montana football a lot better than a transfer from a mediocre FBS squad, or than an out of state freshman (KAY gets some slack because of his dad, and he knows what Griz football is about). Do you think it's a coincidence that UM's two championships came with in-state QBs?

There were several other players that had offers from both Montana schools and FBS schools. They just don’t play positions where you win the GPOY.

yes, in his first go round with the Griz he made a press conference comment something along the lines of if he could play the game without quarterbacks he would and the only thing he needs a quarterback to do is not fumble the ball.
