The staff have mismanaged the qb room terribly and it shows. The game doesn’t slow down if you cant consistently get into the game and build chemistry! This was one of the few all KAY shows. We did see it start to slow towards the end and he did take more downfield shots. That was fantastic. The TD pass to Racanelli was against the starting secondary. Now if only there was a run game to accompany it.

I’ll give it to the guys though, there was no quit. That includes KAY. The kid has heart for days. Right down to the final seconds they were fighting thier asses off. As imperfect as this team is, they have the “never give up” part down.

Agreed, but he’s had more than his share of game time especially for a RS frosh, amd it clearly has not slowed down at all. I hope this happens.

I think the way the 2 qb system was run this year has had the opposite effect of making either qb “the guy”.
Going onto the field expecting to be pulled doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence

And I think the staff did him (and Fife!) dirty with thier rotation antics. The way it was done this season ensured that nobody progressed and messed with people’s heads to the point of regression. A botched coaching job for sure.

I agree 100% and having been telling anyone in my Griz orbit who will listen that this QB by committee bs will be our un-doing, and in my view it was. The classic football wisdom plays into this ... if you have two QBs, you don’t have one. And it slays me that a seasoned coach such as ours apparently does not agree.

This is exactly what I’ve been saying. I just don’t understand this approach / philosophy. I know he’s trying to keep both his guys, but this is not the way. Fife will be in the portal and that is the ultimate rebuke of this approach. I wish I understood but I don’t.

I think, and I may be totally wrong here, that he’s wanting them to compete and have one of them win the job to the point he has no choice but to start him, like McDowell did last year. But hell, I don’t know. Seems like he didn’t really stick with either one long enough for that to happen although Fife did get several starts through the season and I thought played well. Hard to get a lot accomplished behind the offensive line we had.

Helena/Hoops telling us we are dumb and Bobby is great

I don't post often, but I do know Helena. He isn't a big Bobby guy and knows the guy has warts, but thinks the haters go overboard and likes to toy with them. He also thinks Hoops is a giant narcissistic pain in the ass.
