President Engstrom took decisive action -- I'll leave it to others to argue about the merits of such action -- by terminating those who ARE responsible -- at least theoretically -- for oversight of student-athlete activity.

Who gives a fu*k what somebody related to the situation thinks? Women are mentally unable to put down emotion and make rational decisions. They are emotion based creatures and that is why they will always be #2 on the food chain.

I am not saying Engstrom should be fired, but by only firing O'Day and Pflu, one would imply the scandal only resides with kids in the football program. Is that a fair assumption? I do not think it is.

that said....if she REALLY wanted to take a stand...why didn't she do it when all of this crap was happening? griz players have been in the news for all the wrong reasons all of the time. assaults. rape allegations. dui's. tazerings. all things that didn't paint the best picture of the griz. if she wanted to be a hero....she could have sold her tix then and said she wouldn't stand for the direction the football program was headed. instead, she sat back, like everyone else, waited for her brother to get the axe, then decides to be vigilant. :?

Have there been any publicized incidents involving other sports teams?
