Can't argue your logic, but look at Alabama now. The mighty have fallen... ish.Still pretty dominating, just maybe not to their standard. Someone from the Big Sky needs to step up and take it to the MVFC which hasn’t happened since EWU’s run of success. Until then they are the SEC of the Midwest even if they have their version of the old Vandy’s, Kentucky, and Miss at the bottom and only a few teams at the top.
In my opinion North Dakota State and Alabama under Nick Saban were built for the previous mold of college football where guys would sit on the bench for many seasons before playing. Basically NDSU is stuck in the past while other programs like Montana, SDSU and UND have adapted to the new version of college football by going in on the transfer portal. I see NDSU as trying to hold onto the past instead of adapt like the programs around them and it is going to make them not be a top program anymore. Cole Payton the current NDSU quarterback was recruited by Big 10 and Big 12 programs but chose NDSU and then sat on the bench for 4 whole seasons. He is getting his first season as a starter now as a redshirt senior. Situations like that are going to become more and more rare with how the transfer portal and NIL is going. NDSU is not killing it in the NIL department either for how much success they have had on the field I believe Montana has better NIL support. Can't argue your logic, but look at Alabama now. I also think the NIL support is only getting better. I'm not gonna say it sucks either. I think the portal, maybe not as much the NIL has leveled the field in all levels of college football. The NIL is only doing what the P4 programs have done forever, and that's buy players. only now it's out in the open.In my opinion North Dakota State and Alabama under Nick Saban were built for the previous mold of college football where guys would sit on the bench for many seasons before playing. I didn’t a Lambo once in Missoula living there from 2013-2017I also think the NIL support is only getting better. I'm not gonna say it sucks either. LMAO! Could you imagine recruits coming to UM and getting Lambo's, or Navigator's, or NIL deals that are paid half of what a coach is getting paid? I know some of the monied boosters in Missoula own car dealerships, and other businesses... cough up the 150K -200K cars and some cash and commercials. Get them the $$$, and have them bringt home the Natty's... oh, that hasn't worked so well for Bama or Texas.

What time do the Bison play today? It's so super cute how clowns like 5280 think your program is even on the radar when it comes to NDSU! LOL
When the Bison absolutely truck the Sioux at home anyone with a pulse will say hmm that was expected.
Not you, you will blame the refs, say that the Sioux had a bad day, blame everything but the fact.
There are 10 to 15 programs in all of college football that could match up to our DL and OL.
Nobody in the FCS can.
If we stay healthy the only thing in question is do we win the NC by 3 or 5 TDs
You were spot on Colter. This is a really good point and one of the reasons it’s so impressive the Griz have won the last few weeks.
Not saying he’s their best player, but Kyon Loud is Montana’s most important player. His man coverage skills unlock their defense. To be able to beat two pass heavy teams with him on the shelf is very impressive. There just aren’t a lot of guys at the FCS level who can play man like Loud.
@oldngrizzly is Illinois State like MSU?"If it wasn’t evident before this last weekend, it should be now; NDSU is far and above the best team in the country right now (again). "
Well they could get beat in the playoffs but it gonna take a team like MSU to do it. Odds are not good for the Griz.
I think when Oldgrizzly made this pick, NDSU was doomed. He's like the guy in the Good Fellas scene where that old guy gets shoved in the bathroom when they're shooting crap, because he's bad luck. I certainly hope does this again next year. It might be a Bronx Tale, come to think of it.@oldngrizzly is Illinois State like MSU?

Next September… ?What time do the Bison play today?
