No Missoula hotel for NDSU

I'm thinking he's a one per month type of guy. He has to really learn it. He should stick with fiduciary for now, until he knows that one.

The home team has a "fiduciary duty" to the away team. That's pretty funny. What an idiot that guy is. That is beyond stupid.

Vikings, Twins, Golden Gophers, and T-Buffs?! How did you do it?! I've been to two World's Fairs and the Corn Palace, and I've never seen anyone complete the the Ham-and-Mayo-on-Whitebread Quadfecta!

Id rather get stuck in an elevator for an inordinately long period of time with Donald Trump, than be a bobpussy fan.....
And... I'd rather pass an entire Slim Jim through my sinus cavity than be a @&$%&%@ buffalo..... :beef:

Stop traffic, because sources say that's a T-Buff tailgate ritual. It has something to do with Snorty the cauliflower snorting buffalo. I'm not entirely sure why the buffalo snorts cauliflower, but he does. And because cauliflower is a vegetable, the T-buff fans had to sub in a meat to take to their faces. This is just what I've heard. I could be wrong.

We haven't forgot that 1 point ass kicking. Not like we got taken to the woodhead. Oops woodshed.

 Who could forget that curbstomping? Was that around the time of the power balance shift, or the changing of the guard?
Yeah we lost to a team led by a guy that is one hell of an NFL RB. Some would call him a bombastic NFL player. What's your excuse to losing to a DII NDSU at home?
remind us who the all-NFL player was for Central Washington when they went into Bozeman in 2002 and came out with a 31-16 win over the Cats?

Careful kids. It's not clear to me that UM didn't make a mistake in this mess. There are fiduciary responsibilities of the host institution. I have no idea, but you guys may be advised to wait for a bit before poking fun at NDSU for screwing up.
I'm not sure "fiduciary" means what you think it means.
Also, I will never wait to poke fun at UNDSU.
Well, here's why this whole story has seemed weird, and a bit unlikely to us. "Back in the day" when we had season tickets and drove up for every game, we almost always stayed at Ruby's. For much of that time, Ruby's had a contract -- arranged with UM as we understood it -- to provide a block of rooms for the visiting team and coaches. (Fans were on their own.) Did we misunderstand? Or does such an arrangement no longer apply?

Just wondering.
Yeah, that still wouldn't make UM have a fiduciary duty to the visiting team.
Yes, that certainly was a poor choice of words. But, even badly described, it does make a point.

You might notice that I did not bold that particular word in my quote, just the "responsibility ... "

Still wondering.

There is nothing fiduciary about UM's requirement or not to get hotel rooms for the buffs. There may be a contractual obligation to find rooms (that's a different thing). It boils down to the contract the two schools signed to play the game. If the contract specified that UM find the rooms, then the whole thing is UM's fault; if the contract didn't require UM to find the rooms, then it's NDSU's problem.

I know when CU hired an FCS school (Charleston, I think) for a game on a last minute basis in 2013, the contract required CU to both find and pay for lodging. The contract was a little unusual because the game was booked mid-season to replace a game that was cancelled due to a flood. I can't imagine that UM would be required to pay for lodging for NDSU, but I suppose the contract could have required that UM find the rooms. Someone should get the contract and see.

Yep, that's exactly the part I was wondering about. As we understood the contract that Ruby's had way back when (mentioned earlier), it had been arranged by UM as a normal part of scheduling games. I would think that someone in Haslam's office would know what's going on now.

Someone from North Dakota calling Montana the boondocks, that has to be some of the funniest sh!t I have ever heard. NDSU should really be called Western Minnesota U, because that is what it is. You could call us the boondocks if your college was named that, but it isnt, maybe most of you over there don't even know what North Dakota looks like!!

I presume the home team has some comparatively bombastic fiduciary resposibilities. I speculate about what commodities the home institution is responsible for procuring for the visiting institution. Are they repsonsible for sustenance or libations of some sort for visiting administration? Or could this all just be a facetious post?

NDSU got their rooms in Missoula..... but its too bad your small town couldnt have more hotel rooms!
Nobody seemed to have the foresight that a single person could take up an entire room. That cut the capacity in half right there.

I would say a town called Highwood that I've heard of somewhere in MT is out in the Boondocks. But definately not Missoula..... :thumb:

Even though NDSU will have to "rough it", the accommodations are much nicer than North Dakota

 With ALL due respect, Mr. Nation, I'm a Concordia graduate so I lived in Fargo/Moorhead for 4 years. I did my student teaching in Fargo. I know Fargo. I know boondocks. And it isn't western Montana. Thank God.

Your. Loss.
