Careful kids. It's not clear to me that UM didn't make a mistake in this mess. There are fiduciary responsibilities of the host institution. I have no idea, but you guys may be advised to wait for a bit before poking fun at NDSU for screwing up.

I'm not sure "fiduciary" means what you think it means.
Also, I will never wait to poke fun at UNDSU.

Well, here's why this whole story has seemed weird, and a bit unlikely to us. "Back in the day" when we had season tickets and drove up for every game, we almost always stayed at Ruby's. For much of that time, Ruby's had a contract -- arranged with UM as we understood it -- to provide a block of rooms for the visiting team and coaches. (Fans were on their own.) Did we misunderstand? Or does such an arrangement no longer apply?

Just wondering.

Maybe RE fired them in the great winnowing.

I forgot what a big deal you were. Win lose or draw Saturday will be a blast in my small town. I spent a week in Fargo once, an action-packed Saturday night was to see how many horseflies you could kill in one swat. That was before you had oilfield trash making oilfield cash.

Because the real NFL talent was on the bench and didn't get to showcase themselves, duh! Also, Ron Ash is a great coach. There is no inconsistency between these two statements.
