No exciting O

What the hell are some of you talking about when a coach should/should not be hired based on their offense being exciting? Let's analyze this with an allegory or sorts:

ExcitEgrizO: "I'd hate to be in NDSU's shoes. Their offense isn't exciting."

Logic: "Uhh, who gives a sh!t about how exciting an offense is, whatever that means. Isn't the point to win championships?"

ExcitEgrizO: "Yeah but you have to do it excitingly. Not just a dynasty. Booooring."

Logic: "OK, so what you're saying is championships aren't the point of having a good offense, but rather fireworks and those big muffler sounds from Harleys."

ExcitEgrizO: "Are you making fun of me? I want to bring the WAC back."

Logic: "Wouldn't you agree that winning championships makes an offense exciting?"

ExcitEgrizO: "We need excitement in our offense."

Logic: "Did you understand the meaning of my question? As long as you're winning, the offense is exciting. See how that works?"

ExcitEgrizO: "The human head weighs 8 pounds."

Logic: "Alright, double :thumb: :thumb:."

Why can't you have both exciting offense and be a winning dynasty? I like it when my team scores a lot of points.

You better be able to score some points in the BSC. It would be awesome to have a defense that held opponents to 14 or less every game...but that ain't gonna happen. Not with the way ISU and EWU are rolling. Add MSU to that with a healthy Prukop. We need an offense that can sustain drives, but also score in a damn hurry if needed. Anyone who was around in the Don Read era remembers our D wasn't really superlative, but we could drive the field in 60 seconds. Offense? Four "words": Oregon, Baylor, TCU, Marshall. That's all you need to know.

Not saying you're wrong, but look at what NDSU has done at this level and Alabama at the next level. They have great offenses in their conference (I guess we will see this wekend with EWU and how they fare). Lots of ways to skin the cat.

Besides, if you're tossing one back after each touchdown... How much drinking is gonna get done with "Bobby Ball'?"

Unless we start drinking to our D creating 3 and outs...
