2016: 5-1 before closing the season 1-4

It was about this point the past couple years where the wheels came off. This is where the conditioning/coaching will hopefullly really make a difference.

Agreed AZ, notice how the defense is hitting just a bit harder . Just a bit quicker too.
Overall team seems to have a little more edge to it

Yeah we look against bad teams, but this is probably the softest Griz schedule in decades (maybe in 30 years). That's not Bobby's fault, but when is the last time the Griz didn't face one top 20 ranked team in the year-end poll? (UNI was #21,UCD#22 last week). We don't play Eastern, we don't play Weber, we don't play NAU. Heck, we don't even play Idaho State. Those are probably the 4 best teams in the BSC this year. This is an average team playing an absurdly soft schedule. The Griz were/will be favored in EVERY game this year. That has nothing to do with Bobby.

You forget about UCD? Right now, they're the toughest game we have left on the schedule, and they essentially replace EWU for our toughest game of the year this year. Davis will also most likely end the season in the top 20.

If you want a consistent tough schedule every year, go complain to the Big Sky. They're the ones who let this circus happen.

Successful coaching staffs are really talent scouts.that goes beyond just recruiting. as they must have the ability to place a recruit into a position that compliments him, and the team. Then the work starts. They must Coach up the entire team. tune it to a sweet running Chevy 350 come play-off time. It appears this staff has made some position changes, and have implemented a few offensive, and defensive alignments and strategies to compliment the personnel. I think Coach Hauck's staff has a good mix of experience and young coaches to bring this team back to dominance. I think our schedule is exactly what this program needs at this time. Go Griz. 4-1

UNI 2-2 and ranked 15th
Sac State 2-2 and picked to finish higher than the Griz

All three of those teams will finish with winning records

You play the teams on the schedule. Anyone dissatisfied at this point with the result are most likely cat trolls, most of whom had UM winning no more than 5-6 games with this “soft schedule”. At the end of the day Hauck may benefit from a softer than normal schedule this year, or he may not. There are tough games left on that schedule in MSU, UC Davis, and UND IMO. Just win the games that are on the schedule, that is all any coach can do.

One of the biggest on-field things I was worried about with Bobby coming back was basically him running the same style he ran a decade ago, assuming nothing really changed, and it would do more even more damage to the Montana brand. Well, it’s really nice to see RPO concepts and more UCF Scott Frost ball being run. It’s clear he learned and innovated, and it’s showing on the field.

I think you are 1 of the mislead fans regarding there non athletic scholarship status, that Coach Hauck referred to the week of the Drake game. Delaney and Hauck have each mentioned this at various points. Basically their Athletic Department doesn't manage scholarships. Hence, the non athletic scholarship label. They still recruit and offer scholarships. The difference is, the scholarships are managed just like all the other scholarships for their school. Technically, they are a scholarship school, just non athletic.
