No doubt Bobby is back

Not only is he back, but new and improved. He is so much more open to letting his offensive coaches do their job, and trusting them. I am pleasantly surprised and impressed, by how he has adjusted the offense to fit the talent, verses forcing a certain style and system on them. Amazing how much better the game is when round pegs are used in round holes! :)

Seriously, I think the GRIZ would have 2 more championships had Bobby been this way his 1st go around.

I don't think we beat any of those NDSU teams or the James Madison team.

Don’t bet the farm on it Sam. The Griz are a good team.

mtgrizrule is referring to the Griz winning 2 more national championships during Hauck’s first time here at Montana if he had been as adaptive as he has shown to be now. NDSU and JMU were really non factors back then.

Except for that whole national championship loss to JMU....

I don't doubt that he is less stubborn this time around, but how much do you think the offensive playcalling last time around was attributed to the previous OC rather than Bobby? I believe that's a big difference.

That game should have been moved, that field condition was ridiculous

Apples and oranges. Part of NDSU becoming what they are is the fall of montana. Perhaps those teams are a bit more equal playing each other during that time. Don’t care honestly because hopefully things be changin!

My mistake, mtgrizrule. I though you meant if he had stayed he would have won a couple. I agree that an older wiser Hauck might of beat Nova.

The team looks completely different this season. That started to show in game 1.
Totally agree :thumb:

Hard to define, but easy to see/feel, even just watching on TV. There's more of a "purposefulness" and visible enthusiasm when they show the guys on the sidelines. Not to say teams of recent years (including Stitt's) haven't had it, just that it's now more in evidence. The crowd feeds off that, and they feed off the crowd, in turn.

We watched our recording of the CP game this afternoon, and was really glad to see how much maroon there was in the stands ... and how much enthusiasm they put out.

We were fine with DirecTV broadcast upon replay, BTW ... really, really feel for those who were getting crap from other sources. Also, when you aren't all bound up in the action, the announcers were not bad (at least what we got, maybe some of you got something different). Some of their remarks could be misconstrued, but were not really out of line in many cases ... given the fact that CP did out-gain the Griz. They gave UM credit for exploiting CP mistakes, loved Olson's work ethic, and were impressed by Eastwood.

UM was scoring at will too, but it was scoring fast.

UM's longest drive, in terms of time, was the last drive with the pick in end zone. 4:33. Two other drives over 3 minutes. One drive over 2 minutes. Rest under 2 minutes.
