NIL era

“Palm told Brett McMurphy of the Action Network he contacted UNLV officials on Wednesday asking if Circa Sports, a resort and casino headquartered in Las Vegas, could make up for the $100,000 Sluka was allegedly owed to prevent him from leaving the program.

McMurphy noted that a school official told Palm that Sluka was no longer with the program and they wouldn't "be doing business with the Sluka family again."

The rules also ban teams from striking verbal or written deals with athletes before they enroll. In practice, however, most players being recruited are presented with a dollar amount they can reasonably expect to earn.”

Loyal right up to the point he quit on his teammates.

Doesn't matter - UNLV back-up is better and has full support and respect of teammates.

Sluka is a slug. Good chance you'll never hear his name associated with a winning football team ever again.

We shall see. Teams should fulfill their obligations. I don’t think NIL contracts can be signed in advance. Why don’t you know the rules?

Rules are simple -

Rule 1. Get all contracts signed. Grown man hired a shitty rep.
Rule 2. Hire competent reps.
Rule 3. Don't quit on your teammates in the middle of the season.

Keep on lovin' the team-less quitter - I don't care. My island is comfortable.

It's not.

One of those things doesn't matter...teams gets a trip and those
sitting out attend with their teammates and enjoy. Teammates understand.

The Natty is what they've all played for all season. They make history for each other and their schools. Teammates would not understand.

Have we ever seen a player sit for semis or Natty? I can't think of any - there is a reason for that.

So those teammates only matter at certain times? It is fine to quit if you aren't going to play for a Championship?

Didn’t we have a player enter the portal in the middle of our Natty run just last year?

And didn’t NDSU have more than a couple do the same?
