Night Games in 2013?

Wrong. #mariners

Root will not broadcast a night game before October

Not necessarily true, 8/28 first conference game at NAU, M's at home time TBD. Fox has mlb by the balls on Saturday, could be a later or earlier game for the M's depending on their spot in a pennant race, kind of a stretch I agree. The ROOT game will be scheduled around the Mariner's start time and if it's a night game it'll be at NAU. If it's an M's night game the Big Sky matchup will be early no matter which BSC teams play that week.

Is it too late to open it on a Friday or Thursday night like the Cats did this past season? That might open some options for night viewing outside of the Roots network. Just an idea. I think it would be a shame for that quality of a game to not be on prime time TV but that's just me.

Yukon, I agree, a 6 p.m. start won't be a complete "night game", but tehnically, the App. State game is in August, not September.
ooops...okay make that the sun sets about 8:31pm. :D

We didn't have any home night games last year, is there a possibility we have at least one this year? Here are the home games this year...

Aug. 31 -- Appalachian State
Sept. 21 -- Oklahoma Panhandle State
Oct. 5 -- Portland State (Homecoming)
Oct. 19 -- Cal Poly
Oct. 26 -- Eastern Washington
Nov. 16 -- Weber State

I could see the Appalachian State or Eastern Washington being night games, what do you guys think?
They should all be night games, GD, don't we live in Montana? Bunch of whiny pussies.

I agree, and I would have shorts on at every one of em, as usual! If I survived App St in shorts I can take any game in shorts! :thumb:

Has anyone ever been to a Griz night/twilight game (win or lose) where it didn't resonate? Of course the New Hampshire, Northern Iowa, and Mountaineer games stand out, but that UMass game still sticks in my memory in a good way.

mostly? what i remember mostly from that was the feeling of my gut dropping when Schowgger thoght the receiver was going to cut off his route and threw it short when he had an easy touchdown..ahhhh but it was a hell of a game....ive been to NH, UNI, UMASS...Cal Poly on the road in 2010..missed the app game in 09, was stuck in japan UGH!

You just made my point. Of course it would have resonated more if the Griz would have won. But I have the same recollection of that last offensive play. If Roper would have thrown the go route it was there. Lots of day games have come and gone from the memory bank but that play still resonates.
