Nguyen LOST it...............

Jordan was clearly down on that play, and when Pete fumbled it looked like on the replay that he figured the olineman was gonna hit the guy that was in front of him, the lineman did not get much on the guy and he hit Pete, just an unfortunate play for us, still should have won the game, I dont blame anyone for the loss, I wish I could but the odds are that most receiving teams recover the onsides kick.

As good as our running game is, we need to balance our offense with alternative passing plays. If we keep pounding the football every play, the defense can anticipate the handoff, and increase their chances of causing a fumble. Let's mix in some play action passing, bootlegs, a little trickery (that's what we needed to come back against south dakota, remember?).

Actually baller - in two other threads I showed the clip of Canada, he was down - I agree. But guess what IT WAS RULED A FUMBLE, and it took points off the board for the Griz and EWU turned it into a TD. Gotta play within what's called. JC hangs onto that ball even though his knees were already down and who knows.

And yeah the defense and DBs did lose it - I can't spin that, needed a stop, had it going in the 3rd qtr but fell apart in the 4th.

Are you defending Ngyuen fumbling, and criticizing Canada for not fumbling????? Hahaha...wow I guess when in doubt..... "Blame Canada" (South Park reference) ;)

The DLine and LB's had it going all game long.....the D Coordinator and DB's are incompetent at this point in the season. It's embarrassing.

Canada has 2 lost fumbles this year, and 1 lost fumble last year. From running back, Nguyen has 1 lost fumble in two years. Nguyen had none last year.

WTF is this "from running back" $hit? If you put lipstick on an attorney, it's still an attorney...

I am comparing apples to apples, i.e. running backs to running backs. Apparently you aren't aware that Nguyen returns punts and sometimes kickoffs, and Moore and Canada don't. Moore never does. Canada occasionally returns a kickoffs. Thus, the comparison to fumbles from running backs, which is what these 3 guys are, is a good comparison.

If lipstick is put on you, you are still and idiot.

So did Canada - should we just bench our most dangerous RBs (dangerous good and bad unfortunately)

Obviously you missed the replay that clearly showed Canada on the ground when the ball came loose. You're either throwing Canada under the bus to justify Nguyen's ball control issues or you just missed the replay.

You and PR have been making excuses for Nguyen's issues his whole career for some reason. He is an exciting talent and I love him as a pass catching/scat back......but just face it, the guy puts the ball on the ground a lot. That was a HUGE fumble. NO excuses. Stop pointing fingers at other Canada, it doesn't lessen the impact of Nguyen's turnover.

Oh yea, btw (if you want to point fingers).....your boy Gregorak and the DB's lost that game.
I thought EWU got the ball after Canada did or did not fumble....you must have called for a do over too late...it really does not matter what anybody other than the officials think and they said it was a fumble...it cost us points and we still lost!!!

I think we are lucky to have 3 great rb'S, and peter is the best of the bunch imho. Fumbles happen, it's part of the game and sometimes they don't bounce your way.

I agree that we have 3 possibly 4 great RB's with Kirschner. I'm going to channel my inner Player Rep and say that "if you know football" than it's obvious Jordan Canada is our best RB. Peter is a great shifty, pass catching RB/ScatBack but lacks Canada's explosion through the hole, pure speed and ability to run between the tackles.

DMo could be out for awhile. Hope he gets that ankle healthy ASAP!

Pure speed? He got caught from behind several times where Reynolds would have had TDs. Pure speed, not so much...

Stop bashing Nguyen, I'd say he had a great game today and plus after his fumble we got it right back with the interception. Our defense just does not know how to close out games, this is the 2nd time its happened this year. We were up by two possessions in the 4th quarter and our corners suck balls, they got worked real well tonight. Nguyen played his heart out and did you see all those moves he put on the eagles? Looked like Barry Sanders out there.

Alpha, all I want to know is how you felt right after Nguyen scored that sick ass td tonight. I'm assuming you were that sorry ass loser that sat down while everyone was standing and celebrating. You are just a sorry ass loser and not a true griz fan and thats the truth.

Nguyen played his heart out and does not deserve this.

If you put lipstick on Alpha, he's ...

More turnovers................

Come on boys come up with more excuses!!!!!!!!

16 balls on the ground in 2 years.

This.

Of course, "this" isn't accurate. It's not even close to being accurate. Has you ever made an accurate or good post?

Agree that those fumbles were really bad. However, what really pissed me off about Peter Nguyen was how he....

Left a guy standing completely uncovered in the corner of the end-zone
Kept non-performing Dbacks in the game
Bobbled an onside kick
Stayed in-bounds on what turned-out to be the final play of the game
Neglected to pass to Gratton or Carver
Kept sending in all those conservative plays

That guy sucks!

Win or lose, it takes a team
