Next up at UW 12/12

I feel just sick for Breunig. I'm sure he wanted to show well. Too bad. How were the foul calls against him? At least, he got some rebounds in the first half. I think Mick said he'd played 15 minutes when he fouled out. He will move on and still be great. Maybe 20 against Kansas.

I was really pulling for Bruenig. Unfortunately he wasn't effective this game. He can get back on track against UGF and then have some momentum against KU. I think the team is a little further from playing a complete game as a team than the GU game showed. They'll get there eventually. Hopefully this season. Bruenig will be tough to replace next year.

Ugghh. Still not playing as a team. Watching Breunig this season so far, he is lost without Jordan Gregory feeding him the balls. Gregory averaged something like 18 pts a game, and Breunig was close, but watching this season, Gregory was "responsible" for closer to 30 pts a game. But, there was some really awful turnovers; looked more like a high school team. Well, back to the practices.

He had a rough game against Washington but not sure I'd consider him being "lost" without Gregory out there. He's averaging 18.4 points a game and 8.8 rebounds a game & shooting 63.9% from the field. In the previous 4 games he had 20+ points in each of them.

Prior to the Washington game he was #6 in all of D1 for FG percentage and averaging over 20 points a game.

Breunig, lost without Gregory? I don't agree. For the most part, Breunig has put this young team on his back. He has improved his game in every aspect. The UW game was nothing more than 1 bad game for him. It had nothing to do with Gregory being gone.

Do the GRIZ miss Gregory and having a tough time adjusting without him? Yes, they mostly miss his toughness and leadership. Part of that leadership and toughness returns with Dunn. I feel many are under playing his absence from this team. Fortunately, in his absence a young leader is emerging. Oguine has just begun putting his mark on the GRIZ.

The GRIZ need to take better care of the ball and shoot from the perimeter better. None of that has to do with Gregory no longer being here. Most the shots they are missing are open ones too, so the execution is there.
