Next up at UW 12/12

Glad I am not able to watch it. I'd be even more disappointed and upset being blown out the way we are. The only bright spot is Qguine is showing he belongs against great talent like this.

So a 40 point loss is from getting homered......

That's not what they are saying.

no...they are complaining about a couple fouls...calling it getting homered....they sound like Leon Rice...the same guy people criticized for suggesting they got homered in Missoula....

Yeah it's absolutely ugly. Griz have 6 more turnovers than they have made FGs... 12-44 shooting with 18 turnovers so far.

Exactly....the biggest problem is that the Griz are being badly outplayed....but the calls are definitely making it harder for the Griz to get any traction....when your best player only gets to play a few minutes, how can you compete?

how did the zags beat this team?

Washington has more overall length and quickness than Gonzaga. We just don't match up with them well. But Breunig clearly wasn't quite himself today. A bad mix of tentative and forcing things...

Might be good for him to get a bad game out of his system

The more aggressive team usually gets the calls. I do have to say they're letting Washington get away with a good amount of physical stuff that they aren't letting the Griz get away with as much. However that's to be somewhat expected on the road. It's not a total homer job and certainly isn't the reason the Griz are losing by damn near 40 right now... Shooting 27% from the field and turning it over 18 times (with 12 mins to go in the game still) has a much bigger effect obviously.

Wright also not having his best game. Couple of plays where he's dribbled the ball off his leg, just doesn't seem as confident going to the basket today.

He'll play with some fire next game, for sure!

Yeah. Lots of bad turnovers tonight for a lot of players. Lazy passes, bad passes, just losing the ball, getting their pockets picked, etc. Up to 20 turnovers now.

Oguine is still playing a hell of a game though. He has 2 turnovers but everything offense is going through him right now. Pretty damn good for a true freshman. 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal so far. Probably would have quite a few more assists if anyone could shoot worth a shit.

Gonzaga not only beat the Huskies, they totally destroyed them and it was on a neutral court. Big difference was the Zags had their center against the Huskies and not in the Montana game.

Yup, you guys didn't have your starting center against us and the Griz didn't have their starting PG (and still don't) for that game either.

Was there a bad foul call on Bruenig......

I thot the 4th one was pretty lame

Mick just read Oguine's stat line, 8 rebounds with 5 assists, and over 20 points. This is the confidence building game he needed. To bad he got no help in this game.

So true - this was the best I've seen Olguine play since Boise State. I wish everyone could play confidently at the same time. I understand not everyone's going to have a hot hand, but it is possible for everyone to play with purpose and confidence.
