How about Montana's "5 point play" that almost put them in a position to win. Never in the history of basketball has a call like that been made. The Zag player without a doubt ran thru the screen and was guilty of a foul as called, but how can you then count a three point shot that was clearly after the foul. Ball is dead when a foul is called unless you are playing pro ball with their continuation calls.

This is total fail...player was in the act of shooting...it was not continuation....call was correct....

I just watched the game and replayed this play several times. The referees absolutely got it right. Gfeller was stepping to the pass for his shot as this simultaneously happened. Speaking of refs, I absolutely loved how the refs let the teams play this game. The GRIZ needed to have a physical game. That is how post season basketball is when you get outside of the conference. Note to Big Sky officials, please let every team play and swallow the whistle more. It will benefit the conference when Big Sky teams play in post season tournaments.
Overall, I thought the officiating was good. I also liked how they let them play, unlike previous games with this new NCAA mandate on touch fouls. However, there were two fouls (no calls) right at the end of the game which I thought cost us the game. One was on a loose ball where people were diving on the floor. Gfeller who was standing upright had his legs cut out from under him as he picked up the ball by two diving Zags. He dropped the ball the Zags got it and called timeout. It ended up being a possession swing and points for them. The other call was Breunig being mugged under the basket with a no call on one of our last possessions. I think there were some significant no calls that should have been called on us earlier in the game. However ours happened at crunch time. Refs determine the outcome of basketball games all the time.

I just remember our last game at their place. We got homered by the zebras about as bad as I have ever seen. It was bad enough at Gonzaga on Tuesday, but Washington was worse. It becomes clear that you're not going to win even if it's evident you're outplaying them!

I don't think we got "homered" at Gonzaga. Did the referees miss calls? Absolutely! What game have you ever watched when they don't? I actually liked the refereeing more than a lot of earlier games where if you looked at a guy "cross-eyed" the whistle blew. It was more physical but at least they let them play a little.

When you have Wright go 6 - 16, Oguine go 0 - 8. and Gfeller go 3 -11, that is 9 - 35. There is no way we are going to win at Gonzaga shooting like that. Look at Breunig he had 2 points at half time and finishes with 20. What does that tell you? Maybe they should stop jacking up shots and go inside and take better outside shots. If you watch the game their shots were not always good shots. A lot of them were taken early in the O and they never even looked inside. On some of them they were "floating" right or left and didn't go straight up to shoot them. The odds on making those shots are not high.

For the season these guys are 36, 34 and 29 percent shooters and if we took away the Carroll game it would be a lower percentage yet. We are shooting a blistering 25.5% from behind the 3 point line for the season. We need these guys to get their stroke and confidence back. They call it a team for a reason and all members have to be performing and if they are not they have to get it to the members that are. If they do that we would be winning some of these games.

Here us to hoping we get this figured out. We are missing Dunn a lot more than people think.

Your version of Gfeller shooting at the same time Dranginis fouled the screener is a little off, adjust your glasses and look at the replay again, foul clearly before the shot was launched, no way the shot should have counted!

I don't think this game can be watched here in MT without DISH as Charter nor any other MT carrier/provider has an agreement with PAC-12 and therefore can't be streamed unless Pac-12 unlocks and shows on their website or something. Too bad UM can't work something out ahead of time. Totally willing to pay a fee.

Wrong ace. A few MOA's discussed this exact play. They were of the opinion being Gfeller was stepping into the pass and released the shot immediately, it was his "intent" to shoot. However, it is a judgement call that could go either way. In this case the officials interpreted his stepping into the pass the way he did was the difference in the call going the way it did. As one of the officials said, that play should be shown to young players on the importance of stepping to the ball ready to shoot. Had Gfeller not squared up to shoot as the pass was coming to him, then your interpretation of the call would be correct.

Does anyone have an account I can borrow to watch this game? I too would be willing to pay to view this game. Here is to hoping U of M officials can get this feedback. To bad, U of W does not have some sort of ppv option.

It is not based on when the ball leaves the players hand.....it is based on whether the player is in the process of shooting.....which Gfeller was....

Basket absolutely should have counted. Foul easily could have been ruled intentional. If anything the Zags (who I root for in every game but this one) caught a break there.

Couldn't find the channel. I don't have dish. Frustrating how difficult it is to watch UM play ball. Have fun at the game Everett. I used to live within walking distance to Hec

Really looking forward to this game. Should be interesting to see how the Griz contain Andrews and Murray.

I did a little digging and it looks like there's an addon for the program "Kodi" that might have the game. Kodi is an open source media center type software where you can add different addons (for streaming, etc) if you want.

You can get Kodi from http://kodi.tv/download/

This link gives a quick tutorial on installing the addon "Pak Hind" which appears to have the Pac12 network under the "Sports Full HD" section and also under "Global Sports".

I've been streaming the St Mary's vs Cal game using that for a bit until my connection started getting flaky. No idea if the Griz vs Washington game will be there or not. There are some other sports package addons that might have it too. "SportsDevil" and "Sports Live TV". Tutorials for installing those can be found elsewhere on the same site linked above.

Hopefully one of them has the Griz vs Washington game. Not having much luck finding it listed on any of the normal streaming sites I use yet.

Liking this Kodi program so far though... Pretty neat all the live TV stuff you can add to it.

Interesting. On the Husky site, they have "Preview: Montana" and then talk only about the Huskies.

If you use google (look for "watch Pac 12 network") and hunt around just a little, there's an option that works.
