What a game! I thought Gfeller was going to drain that last shot. Held the Zags to 40% from the field and 26% from three. The Griz totally took GU out of their game. I can guarantee this will be a heavily watched game tape by WCC coaches.

Damn, so much for a surprising pick me up after Saturday. Like others said though, great effort in a tough environment.

Chance to tie a top 20 team at the buzzer! Lets keep that intensity of play all year and we may see them again in March. The Kansas game will be another great test and give the team another example of top level competition before conference.

Not really a morale victory guy, but I hope this is a spring board for the team. Much better than I expected. Also wondering if Gfeller should play major minutes if he can't knock down the three consistently. Offensively, it doesn't seem like he offers much more. Defensively not sure.

This game is the epitome of why I can't watch basketball in general. I really really really dislike the inconsistency in the reffing, not just from game to game, but on each trip down the floor. Griz basically got "homered" out of a potential win, mostly because they were'nt supposed to be "in" the game to begin with...

Great game! Great effort by our team. This should boost their confidence. Nice to see Gfeller get a few big treys.
but he was 2 for 9 which is 22% from three. We need to find someone who can shoot from the perimeter more consistently.

Actually he made two in a row there before that last miss, so I think he ended 3-10.

The thing is, other coaches prepare for him and that leaves it a bit more open for Wright, Oguine, and Breunig, so because he had a good season last year, and one good game this year, the other coaches prepare their game plans with him in mind. Of course, now they might not...

Correct. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore?gameId=400840098

I think the first 15 minutes of Griz defense was the best the Zags have faced this year. 61 is tied for the lowest GU has scored all year, and they have played some big time teams . . . and they were at home tonight.

Incorrect. He took a two according to ESPN. 3-10 from three.

That maybe true, but he's shooting under 30% unless you're into rounding. Most of his shots are threes. The dribble drive isn't his strong suit, and he's not a lock down defender. He's had plenty of open looks this year

this was effort..this was a great coaching job, Griz lose but are coming..Travis says"I could care less about our record"--I love that! This guy knows what he is doing. Sure another loss on the road but sooo much improvement, I cannot begin to list..I am a Walter Wright & Bobby Morehead fan..this team is growing,,this team will contend..way better than the N Dak St. game; go get some Huskies!

I agree if they can keep TD around for a few years it could be massive for the program

:thumb: I agree 100% rainbear14. I'd add Jack Lopez, who had an incredible game, but was a bear in the paint (though he took a beating). Michael Oguine shot poorly & looks to have lost some confidence, but who is also improving. It's a loss, but it's also a game they now realize they could have won, and probably think they should have won. I think they'll learn from it.
