BH is coming here... You don't just resign from an FBS school that extended you three years $2.1 million. Someone told him the job was his if he wanted it... he obviously does. I for one am more than excited to have him back. Now lets get ready for spring ball to see what we got for next year.

Go Griz!
No, someone informed him they were exercising their $400 M buyout of the remainder of his contract. Resign or we will announce the firing, your choice. This is well known in LV - driven by boosters who have their own candidate they want in the job. 4 of 5 years with but two wins; seems quite justified.

I think you meant $400 K buyout lol. Yeah I agree, just didn't cut it at UNLV. I sure hope he gets the job here though...

Sorry, Bobby is not our next coach.

Wouldn't this mean he left the 400k on the table based on ego. I've heard BH loves him some BH, but that would be a whole new level

The next coach needs to be able to prepare his team for road games.
The next coach needs to have at least an average grasp on special teams play.
Needs to have a defense that doesn't give up 21 or more points a game.
doesn't need to bring a bunch of his underachieving buddies with him.

Our next coach needs to be able to walk on water, turn goat piss into gasoline, site rainbows, and whistle jippidy dooh dah from his bung hole.

Is this post serious? Are we so delusional as a fan base that this is an actual request? Or is the joke on me, and I am taking this post out of context?

Why don't we start with a guy that can recruit, develop players, and then coach them up? I think that a good portion of the Griz fan base is living in the past, and must land their collective space ships to the reality of the now. What this program accomplished in the past 2 decades is something we should be proud of. It is something that is not easy, or our birthright. Winning is hard. I think we have forgotten this. I think instead of acting like entitled spoiled rich kids. Lets support the process and then let the coach who ever it is do his job.

I'm sure whoever the coach is..It will not be good enough under the criteria requested above.

In reference to the thread title, an offensive genius is on our list: Bob Stitt.

Would have been great today if we could have 1) scored more points, and 2) sustained more drives, keeping EWU's offense off the field.

Bob Stitt...get used to it!

Yes, I want Bob Stitt as coach for Xmas. Keep Ty as DC and mentor to be next Griz coach when Stitt heads to FBS in 4 years.

WTH does anyone want a guy with ONE career playoff win in D2....not exactly the toughest group over the years.

Bobby Hauck would hit the ground running-Stitt would probably be a work in progress. So do you want to start winning ASAP or watch more learning curve adjustments. IMO if Bobby wants the job he should be given a strong look.

If anyone is going to dismiss Bob Stitt, you've got to read this first:

He would easily be one of the most innovative offensive minds to ever coach for the Grizz. You can only say it so many times, but he is at a big disadvantage in terms of talent at CO Mines, relative to his competition. It is an elite academic school with no easy majors. His record there giving the circumstances should be viewed as a positive, not a negative.

I would rather have 10 years of .500 football than have Hauck back. He is a quitter and does not ELEVATE football programs, he maintains them. Luckly I dont need to worry about that now, he isnt the guy who was hired.

Thats all I want for Christmas.

You mean genius stuff like "Don't throw the ball to the defenders," "the Left Tackle protects the QB's blind side," "don't put the ball down until you hear a whistle,"and "when you are one yard from the first down marker, you should try hard to get that last yard?" Genius stuff like that?

Oh no! I just agreed with Alpha. I am screwed now.

What defense?

:coffee:

Gregorek needs to get out of my state ASAP purge the shitter!!!!

What! How'd he get to No Dak that fast?

This was a good defense. Needed an offense and special teams, but the D was good.

You could take the pick for six and the blocked punt off the board and the Griz still lose. A defense that gives up 24 points in big games is not "good"

Don't forget the Van fumble resulting in another EWU score.
No, the Griz D held up well when the Griz offense gave them more than a 3 and out. Five sacks in the first half I think. This is EWU's offense we are talking about. They are No 1 in the FCS in scoring offense. 24 (actually 21) points given up by the defense is pretty good.
