Next coach better be an offensive genius!

C'mon guys....if folks were less than pumped about Lance Leipold (107-6, 5 National titles with a 6th one pending) why would Stitt be so exciting. Career record for this guy is 98-60....with a whopping 1-2 playoff record. If you are going to push a lower level coach he better be at the top at the division he is at, this guy clearly is not.

Please, please No Bobby! I'd rather Delaney not retire if the alternative is another go around with asshole Bobby!
Because you hate winning? Weird

Yeah Bobby's record at UNLV is a winning record (15 wins and 48 losses)???

The Big Sky Conference is wholly changed from Bobby's earlier days with the Griz, and he was a huge asshole when he was coach here before. We don't need a 2nd round of that.

There are much better coaches out there than Bobby. Lets not settle for a regurgitated asshole.

I sure as hell hope the next coach is Bobby and he immediately relieves both Hynson and Gragg of their duties. Neither has excelled at anything they have been asked to do....Gragg's OL has been such a weakness to this team and only slightly improved....today they were awful, especially in key situations. Hynson could not ever develop any offensive identity or rhythm. This play sheet up in the box must have been crayon scribbling on a coloring book page.
did you see that first sack ewoo laid on us? I dont want to go back and look, someone on the right side got laid out on his ass, totally owned. embarrassing. I know what obstacles the O line has face this year but FFS, to get knocked on your ass in the playoffs?

That was an EWU red-shirt freshman d-lineman quickly and powerfully putting a UM 5th yr senior o-lineman on his back, and then completing the domination with a quick sack on Johnson.

It's happened in plenty of game this season.

The next coach needs to be able to prepare his team for road games.
The next coach needs to have at least an average grasp on special teams play.
Needs to have a defense that doesn't give up 21 or more points a game.
doesn't need to bring a bunch of his underachieving buddies with him.

In reference to the thread title, an offensive genius is on our list: Bob Stitt.

Would have been great today if we could have 1) scored more points, and 2) sustained more drives, keeping EWU's offense off the field.

Bob Stitt...get used to it!

Yes, I want Bob Stitt as coach for Xmas. Keep Ty as DC and mentor to be next Griz coach when Stitt heads to FBS in 4 years.

Guess I would ask why would Bobby come back?... He can make a lot more money as an OC or ST coach at the FBS level than he would as a HC here. And.... why would he want to come back here.... The powers that be would never let RP back in Missoula as a OC or anything else.... I just hope new HC is energetic, progressive, innovative, and has the balls to bring in an OC and offensive coaches who are the same...

That made me laughing...

Yeah, I actually love Bobby, but don't think he's FBS OC material lol.

Bobby really does not fit the mold of an OC, or even DC. He is best putting together and managing a staff. He is a great motivator, disciplinarian (despite what some here think), player builder, and confident. Meanwhile X's and O's are not his strong suit. Wherever he coaches, I hope he finds himself a little higher level of coordinators. Amazing the record he had with the GRIZ, despite the coordinators. I'm hoping that place will be as coach of the GRIZ again. :thumb:

live4dagriz, right now, I'd say I'm 80 percent sure BH won't be the Griz' next head coach. But, like everyone else, I'll have to wait and see.
We shouldn't have to wait long now.....unless it's Baldwin. He was spending a lot of time with our junior LBs after the game.....

BH is coming here... You don't just resign from an FBS school that extended you three years $2.1 million. Someone told him the job was his if he wanted it... he obviously does. I for one am more than excited to have him back. Now lets get ready for spring ball to see what we got for next year.

Go Griz!

He may or may not get the Griz job, but he did not resign from UNLV because he wanted the Griz job.

No, someone informed him they were exercising their $400 M buyout of the remainder of his contract. Resign or we will announce the firing, your choice. This is well known in LV - driven by boosters who have their own candidate they want in the job. 4 of 5 years with but two wins; seems quite justified.
