This was from 4 years ago (March 2014) on Lady Griz Senior night. Braxton (in 8th grade), with his sister Torry, mother Traci, and father Bill. You can see Braxton looking to the crowd and thinking don't worry Griz Fans, she maybe leaving but I am coming! :thumb:
Bill is a good guy. He does a lot for Anaconda youth, and adults. He's involved in the nice softball complex over there, he put on tournaments. In fact I wore my, "4th Annual SOFTBALL BASH 1993 CHAMPIONS Anaconda Park & Rec" T-Shirt to the gym today. (No holes, they don't make stuff like they used to.) :D

Hardly. Just got email from Traci. Braxton and the family are very excited.

What's wrong with you, MTGRZ and PhxGriz? There is absolutely nothing wrong with PlayerRep and my post. PlayerRep was just joking about a friend of his, and I was just posting a cool family picture. God forbid we know and like people.

Hill's dad was a football star at Eastern. A very good running back, I believe. The kid is talented, athletic, and a very hard worker. He is cut from the fairly common Montana mold. A kid whose attitude, work ethic, and heart will carry him beyond where he might otherwise be. Look at the success of his under-sized sister as her years went on with the Lady Griz. Hope he does well.

I think the issue is that a previous post alluded to the looks of his mother, and then another post said, "Pics or STFU." I'm just commenting that it is creepy that someone had a picture of his mother that they could post so quickly, and with the intent of acknowledging her physical appearance. Look, I'm not trying to be the PC police; but I think it is in poor taste to talk about the physical appearance (good or bad) of a parent of a student athlete. I understand PR knows her, and his post was a joke. I am not commenting about his post; this is about the "Pics or STFU" and the response with a picture.

Without the context that previous posters established, there is nothing wrong a cool family picture. But....there was an established context related to the appearance of his mother. And as I stated before, I think it is in poor taste to discuss a family members looks on an online forum.

Is it okay for students and others to be discussing the (good) looks of the new UM president?

I was simply joking, but do feel in our hyper sensitive world, as evidenced by intuitive and PRs response, saying a Mom is hot and then posting a pic probably isn't good form.

Totally different, and you know it. He is a public figure. Also, I understand the reality is that there is a double standard between men and women in this issue. I simply think it is in poor taste to discuss the appearance of a parent of a student athlete in an online forum. Call it too sensitized, blame it on 2018's culture and how we are conditioned to de-objectify others; I don't care. I know you were joking; I still think it looks bad. Sorry your feelings are hurt, PR.

I totally get that your initial post on the subject was a joke. I just think it's creepy to post a picture of a recruit's mother on an online forum; especially under the pretext that she is hot. You're fine, we're all fine. Let's let it go and move on.

Whether you want to admit it or not, you are, in fact trying to be the PC police.

He didn’t post NUDE pics. He didn’t post inappropriate pics. She’s an adult. We’re adults. Someone commented she was a looker, and I wanted proof. It wasn’t like he was posting pics of the daughter, FFS.

Get over yourself.

My feelings aren't hurt. I have no respect for your opinions and never have. I disagree with most of what you post. Your dark age views have not come close to catching up with the internet and how modern day society works. You seem to think that almost everything is inappropriate.

For example, the concept of public figure is used for deterring the standard for defamation, not whether it's okay to comment on someone's looks. While I am not an expert on what constitutes a public figure, I doubt that Bodnar is a public figure at this time, in the defamation context.

The photo is probably from a newspaper or the UM athletic website. Taken by a UM photographer on senior day at a game. It was a family photo. It is not in poor taste to take photos from the UM website or a newspaper on post them on egriz.
