I absolutely LOVE that uniform!

I think the paw on the helmet looks OK. WTS, I would respond to those that support it, but I'm not talking to them at the moment... :coffee:

This uniform is very cool. I like the paw print (obviously) back in the day ALL WHITE used to be the thing. Now the all black look is really popular with this generation of player & the recruits that will be interested in wearing it.

It's all smart & intelligent means to promote your institution through the success of athletics.

That black uni is bad ass. I say do a silver one with maroon trim maroon helmet.

If black is "in," for whatever reason, this uni looks good, except the paws on the shoulders should have the claws pointing in. As is, they look too much like Ducks uni's. Oh, yes. Keep the Griz logo on the helmets.

Y,know? This "issue" of black in uniforms, at least in my limited estimation, is of no concern to Black players, if it was ever a concern. I don't know where this "issue" came from. Of course, I can't speak for Black players. Like all athletes, they want to get a good education and play for a school, regardless of its colors. Is this just a PC thing? It sounds like reverse discrimination, to me.

UM should go with its traditional school colors and forget whatever trends are out there. The question is, "Is this about negating racism, or is this about a school winning games"? Why does race have to be an issue to the extent it involves designing a school's colors to include that consideration, if, indeed, it does? I'm sure it's a non-issue with Black players. I'm sure they don't consider a school for the amount of black it has in its uniforms.

No, MT should go with maroon and silver, its traditional colors.

:wtf:

Must…….consider…..source………

Early onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s are not a laughing matter, and should not be mocked on this board. I find that insensative.

How about this one?

Awesome! I had no idea the Bob Cats were re-designing their uniforms this year! I think they look great, the new uniforms give MSU fans a sense of the values taught at the school while conveying a message of future prosperity ensured by their education.

It's "insensitive," dolt. Use your backspace more. Anyway, look at these links. Any white guys, there?

Even the image of a proposed UM uniform in this thread shows a Black guy. Look, I have no problem w/ that. What I'm getting at is some kind of PC in choosing school uniform colors. Well, not just PC; I see it as a marketing thing for young Black athletes. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm far out. I am in the corner with the guys who believe in school colors w/o black. Many schools don't have it; all NFL teams, far as I know, don't have it.

Where did this idea for black uniforms come from? That's all I'd like to know. I do not believe our Black Griz players came to this school for the amount of black in their uniforms. By the same token, I don't know why black should be on any UM uniform. It is not, and never has been, a school color. NCAA rules, I believe, require white for visiting teams.

College and professional basketball and football is dominated by Black players. I not only get that, but I'm indifferent to it. They make for great athletic performances. I don't root for my team because of the amount of White players. I just want my team to win, whether with Black or White players.

I don't mean to inject race into this discussion. But, somewhere, somehow, I've read re: black in uniforms as a means of attracting young, Black players. I think it's cheap and stupid. I wish eGrizzers would get off of black as a color in Griz uniforms, and far as I know, no other Griz team sport includes the color black.

So much for what I have to say about black. It's not really a color, you know. Neither is white. They are just extreme shades of colorless light.

panthers and jags have black uni's as well. it's not a "black" thing d2. it's a youth thing. kids love these new uni's. who's an old guy like myself to say they're wrong...? :?

The funny part is D2 doesn't even realize how racist his posts appear. Gotta love old people. You'd think this wouldn't be such a difficult concept for old people to understand. Didn't Elvis and Jonny Cash popularize the all-black look? or are you even older then them?
D2, do you think the cats showed off their all yellow uni's last year to attract asians?

the arizona cardinals have black jerseys too, and I would have to say they are the best looking ones that they use

Not sure about the Griz, but I know UNC is swtching from New Balance to Under Armour for next season! Do you think it might help us play better??
