I'm assuming he realized that he'll get a better chance at playing time in the FCS. He lost the job when he went up, and he's only got one year left. I'd imagine he wants to spend it on the field.

When I shook the kid’s hand it wrapped around mine twice. He definitely passes the eye test and I’m not talking about being a golden boy from so-Cal.
All joking aside, he seemed like a great dude and although I am not paid to be a FB talent evaluator, I do fancy myself as a good judge of character.

Maybe not too many, but Cam Ward seems to have made an impact.
I thought he left idaho after his redshirt freshman year? Am I wrong?

He played two years at Idaho. He beat us in WaGriz as a freshman in 2022. It still stings.
McCoy is and has been a boom/bust QB his whole career. He can scramble and make the best play you've ever seen and then a drive later can't hit an open guy with an accurate pass. He's a big reason why they didn't share the Big Sky title in 2023 in their loss to Weber, and a big reason they lost to Albany (although their kicker really sucked, too). I think he'll do great at UIW. Talk about a team that has really hit on transfer QBs as of late.
I just want Flowers to get a shot.

He lost the starting job around game 8 and wasn’t going to get it back. Saw the writing on the wall.

The Griz were lucky to get Flowers they need to let him see the field.
He could be the QB that the staff develops for a three year run as starter.

What’s going on with our in-state QBs?
Didn't the Griz get a QB like this not long ago? Was a walk on backup somewhere big. I can't remember where he went to school, but maybe was a HS QB in Texas? "Dropped down" and looked pretty good in practice but was just OK.
Committed to Griz as of today.
