NEW JERSEYS

I can picture this, now. Boomer Goomer clutches his chest while sitting in his NEZ seat, and collapses. Peter Christian announces “the Red Pocket Mobile defibrillator is being administered to one lucky fan in section 132” but unfortunately no one in the NEZ can hear the announcement. Out comes the AED, and "Shock indicated!" is heard from the little box. Operator #1 shouts, "CLEAR!", and presses the button, 400 J are delivered, not only to him, but to the rest of the row, and possibly the row in front of them, taking out 20-30 more 'former' Griz fans. I've seen someone who wasn't clear at the right moment. Didn't kill him, but...he wasn't quite the same afterwards.

My vote is to bring these back. These are perfection!

Make this a helmet or permanently return it to the shoulders.

Our best logo and it never gets used.
I tried to find an image of the old gold helmets with that logo, but could not find one in color

At times when I look at our helmets, I kind of would like a stripe, but seeing it here and recalling that helmet from the mid-80's, kinda no, maybe.

I appreciate your additions. (y) Makes the whole scenario come to life, as well as the Boomer. I would hope the First Responders would have enough common sense to drag Boomer to a place where they could work on him without hinderance, like the Concessions Area. But, common sense ain't as common as one would think.

Those were sweet! Original jersey colors with a modern twist.
I saw a picture online that would suggest the only modern twist is the helmet sticker, but I have already posted too many pictures on this thread. It was Rocky Klever in the Copper jersey and a silver helmet that appears to have no logo.
We only had the Copper Silver and Gold from around 77 up to 1995, then went back to Maroon. You can find a lot of different versions told on the spirit colors and school colors out there, but one that I saw said that because of the limits at the time of color shading in fabrics, Montana used the Maroon and called it Copper, way back.
As far as nicknames too, if anyone remembers the old Silver Tip lounge on SW Higgins, I used to wonder if there was a connection to that and Montana Athletics. I'm sure some on here remember, but I didn't realize until just a few years back that back, before we picked up "Griz" as our affectionate version, the teams were called the "Silvertips," or just the "Tips."

Just the Tip?
