Nice job Griz Nation. Here's a short story for you.
My brother sits in the southwest end.
Apparently, there was a newbie sitting in their section.
He was pretty quiet and not much into the game to start.
As the game progressed this guy gets progressively into the game. He starts rooting harder and louder for the GRIZ.
The whole section thought the guy wasn't your normal fan.
Finally after the GRIZ pinned them at the south 1 yard line and the crowd did their job, dude finally started talking to other fans.
He thanked everyone in the section for such a great fan experience. He admitted, he happened to be in Missoula for the weekend. He noticed how prevalent GRIZ mania was.
His curiosity made him attend the game, at worse to just kill time and tailgate. He told everyone, it was his 1st GRIZ game. He didn't know anything of FCS or GRIZ football.
He surprisingly said, this was his BEST college football game experience in his life. He was asked, where he was from?
He said, "Philadelphia". He's used to attending Penn State games, and GRIZ Nation is every bit as loud as their games.
At the end of the game, he told everyone, he'd be back, but with as many fans as he could bring with him. He said he had heard how legendary WAGRIZ is, but that's it. He said the legend of WAGRIZ will be growing back east! He left telling GRIZ fans to not take what we have for granted.
Anyway, great job GRIZ NATION!
I think his parting statement is so very true!
