New Bobcats logo?

It looks a little bit like a bobcat that just got told to be careful and don't use so much teeth next time!
 
Here is what an Egriz poster would say if it was the Griz updating their logo----Nobody cares what you think about it! It is what it is!

I'm a huge fan of the Cats taking the M off of their helmets. M stands for Montana, not Montana State. That damn M always bugged me.

And I'll admit that I liked those blue helmets they wore against the Griz in 2011. Rumor I heard was that the new helmets will be matte blue rather than glossy.

That is exactly the reason I always liked the "M", because I knew it drove some fizz fans batty

Oh man, don't take this topic away from us. It is one of just a few that has nothing to do with lawyers, reporters, or facebook. It is actually even something that we may see on a football field in the near future. Please don't make us stop...

BTW - I think it is a good refresh to the logo. Personally I am happy that I don't feel the need for the Griz to change anything relative to branding for the foreable future.
 
I can see your point Grizly Fan. Time to talk about football related topics now. You got JJ back, spring practice is near. Life is good for you guys now. Logos-who cares. Change is constant!
 
I like it a lot more than the old one, but the only thing that bugs me is how with the new more defined look, it looks like the Cat's mouth is hanging open just because. At least with Weber's logo, it looks like it's roaring or something.

Overall, though, I think it's a lot better than the old one.

Can't wait to see what the Griz and Cats have in terms of new unis. :thumb:
 
Have always thought their logo looked like that slimy thing that jumped out of the guy's stomach in "Alien." Either that or an underfed feral alley cat. Funny thing, I approached somebody in their athletic department once about their crappy logo and he indicated they were married to the block "M" which I think "The Big Human" was responsible for. K-State and Wazzu both have far better looking felines on their helmets. Doesn't Bozeman have a Land Grant Design Department?

I am sure they used an outside firm. I understand the direction for the updated logo came directly from President Cruzado. Whenever you do something like this ususally half like it and the other half do not. In this case it looks like it's over 50% that like the change so far on BN. In any event, they are making the change. The changes are not that significant. My opinion is that the change to the ears make it look more like a bobcat.
