Wow, is that how the Federal Government works? I love how many experts sprout up when there is new allegations. Man you guys will come up with all sorts of execuses, won't ya. So when murder trials dragg on for ten plus years, there obviously isn't any substance behind the charges? Perfect example the Berry Beach case, only took him twenty years to get a new trial. I still think that guys is guilty, but what the hell using your logic, it must not have any substance if it took them twenty years to retry the case, right? Hell they were investigating Madoff for a half decade, but as we all know there wasn't substance in that multi-billion dollar scandal.IdaGriz01 said:Old news -- three months old. The Feds are slow, but not that slow. If there were any real substance to the complaint, they would have acted, in some way, long ago. Of course, now that the media has jumped on it, they'll feel compelled to find something they can criminalize. I hope whoever gets caught in the cross-fire has the money for a good lawyer.Gaeilge1 said:With regard to my previous remarks on Gwen Florio it was not my intent to blame her for anything. But based on today's article, which by it's very nature begs the question, has she lost her objectivity with regard to this issue? I don't know the answer, but again, based on today's article, someone down at the Missoulian is not doing their job correctly. Whether that is Florio, or her editor, or the general editor I don't know.
There appear to be a number of assumptions made or at least alluded to based on the redacted parts of the complaint that speculate on what was formally contained in the complaint. The fact that a complaint has been filed is news, however that could have been covered in about three paragraphs.
