NDSU's Bohls new contract.

NDSU never asked the city to build a downtown basketball arena and the city never voted on the arena attached to the dome, in fact if it was going to be built NDSU was on the hook to fund a major portion of it. The reason that never happened was the financial collapse, NDSU had a major donor lined up but due to uncertainty they had to pull back. They have since donated generously to our latest arena project.

Griz fans be thankful MSU is your rival and not UND. Their fans obsession with NDSU knows no bounds. UNDfan likes to go around on every board on the internet where NDSU is mentioned so he can spew his half-truths and lies.

With these kinds of statements pouring in from bison fans, its no wonder their reputation is by far the worst in FCS.

If you could actually read the post, it never ever said the voters turned the attached arena down. The Fargo public taxpayers just got sick and tired of all the crap and taxes that NDSU was trying to put on them, especially with all the financial scandals with NDSU's past president. The arena downtown made no sense without NDSU basketball as its main tenant. Dah!!

So typical of NDSU fans: try to tear down other posters and yell and bully on message boards to cover up some of the dirty truths behind NDSU athletics. If facts are denied enough, then lies perceived as truth, so bison fans push lies to make themselves feel better about themselves. An NDSU fan that admits that there have been real ethical problems in their program - and their have been major ones - is rare on message boards. Never said NDSU's football team isn't good right now, just that its full of dirty laundry in the recent past (Best Buy, petitiongate, Bohl's past, AD is a general nutcase, and NDSU's financial scandals, just to name a few.)

The City of Fargo builds NDSU everything they want, until the Fargo voters wised up to it.

In the late 1980's, NDSU was inflating attendance figures for years (saying 18,000 instead of 10-12,000) in order to convince Fargo voters it needed a nearly 20,000 seat Dome built on NDSU property. NDSU pays nothing.

Newman Field (baseball) gets built on NDSU property with city and private money. NDSU pays nothing.

After that, NDSU tried to get the city of Fargo to build them a hockey arena near the Fargodome. Voters said no.

NDSU tried to get the city of Fargo to build them a basketball arena downtown. Voters said no.

NDSU tried to get the city of Fargo to build them a basketball arena attached to the Fargodome. Public said no.

NDSU has been fundraising for a BSA upgrade for how many decades?

NDSU never attached itself to the downtown project in any way, shape or form. That was all the work of a developer that wanted to use the arena to help fund his massive apartment/commercial/office complex. If NDSU wanted an off campus arena Ace Brandt offered the school one in Urban Plains and NDSU declined and considering all the financial issues that arena has had I'm glad NDSU did.

The attached dome arena project had the support of city leaders(didn't need a public vote due to how it was going to be financed) but the national financial collapse killed the project. It's failure had nothing to do with public discontent. Which is another lie your tried to spin in your above post.

Our AD was once again recognized as one of the best athletic directors in the country, he is very successful and far from a nutcase. I guess UND fans are just jealous that NDSU has successful leadership.

Once again this is typical of you, a person that is quite honestly obsessed with NDSU. Everytime I visit this fine forum here you are bashing NDSU with your lies, hate and half-truths. I know a few UND fans that are quite honestly embarrassed by you.

There has been a couple of NDSU fans on the MWC message board asking how people felt about them. Most thought they were a better fit for the MAC due to their location and that Texas teams were a better option for the MWC right now.

Seems many FCS schools are looking to catch the last tickets to the FBS. CUSA will have ot pick up anouther SUn belt team or two shortly and then the Sun Belt will add FCS team. unless they go with Idaho and New Mexico State.

True. Distance-wise, it's similar to stating that Washington State and Minnesota would be great travel partners, since Fargo is basically on the border of MN and Missoula is only a couple hours drive from Pullman/Spokane.

Missoula-Fargo (neighboring states): ~950 miles, 13 hours drive time
Spokane-Minneapolis (includes 5 states): ~1,375 miles, 19 hours drive time

On a few things we agree:

NDSU administrators have made NDSU look horrible, saying criminal acts are not really a big deal.
NDSU administrators and fans besmirch the state of ND's support, but yet consistently get taxpayer handouts from Fargo
NDSU message board fans give NDSU a horrible reputation.

NDSU fans, including yourself, never condemn or call out their own message boad fans, even with all their preposterous statements - as evidenced by you not correcting any of your fellow bison. But if it's a UND or UNI fan that they don't agree with, all hell breaks lose.

The idea know that NDSU will be going to the Mountain West, with Boise State back in tow, is probably the most preposterous statement ever - deserves a spot in the Bisonville preposterous talk hall of fame. Yet, because it is brought up by bizon fans themselves, somehow its supposed to be credible.

I believe you misread my post. I didn't say anything attempting to correct you. I don't know the history behind what was being discussed, so I didn't call anyone out on any "facts". The only reason I directed my comment at you was because of your first post in this thread (that seemed to be where "all hell broke loose" in this thread). I was simply requesting that you, and other UND and NDSU fans, make an attempt to stop turning every thread into a pissing match between NDSU and UND, especially on another team's forum. If an NDSU fan says something that I know to be untrue, I will correct them. However, if you know something is untrue, I believe there is a more intelligent way to prove someone wrong than the method you chose to use in your first post in this thread. People will probably be more likely to believe you and take you seriously if you don't start off by bashing someone. Instead, you might want to try providing some sources for your facts, or at least present what you believe to be facts in a respectful manner. This will help to actually stimulate a conversation instead of turning it into a pissing match.
