NDSU to MWC

Understand the donations of funding the upfront cost, are the NDSU alum that more wealthy and giving as the UM alum?

Also, we keep saying we don't have the funding for additional scholarships, while NDSU already supports 16 D1 sports to our 15 all while having a smaller revenue stream on the face of it anyways.
You think NDSU has a smaller athletic budget than UM?

Maybe somebody can enlighten me on the whole money issue. First off the enrollment for both UM and NDSU is approximately the same(NDSU 12,000 and UM 11,000); Montana as a state a bit more populated by 300,000 or so.

According to a quick AI search the cost of attendance at UM (in-state) is $31,000 while the cost at NDSU is $22,000. Out-State for UM is $58,000 with NDSU at $26,000.

UM averages roughly 7-8,000 more fans at home football games while demanding a higher ticket prices then NDSU. This alone is approximately $500,000 in additional revenue each year just in ticket sales based on 7 home games.

So, I guess what I'm getting at is how does NDSU seem to have so much more dollars than UM?
More donors.

If UM and MSU’s biggest donors wanted to get behind moving up and paying for it with donations they would move up. NDSU is not tied to another university and their top donors are behind moving up.
