Does the overall proposal have an element of limiting NIL? I think I read that.
If true, what about for the non-top 5 conference schools? Will their NIL be limited too?
Without federal legislation, I think this proposal is as much of an antitrust problem as the current situation is. Personally, I don't care about the antitrust laws in this situation, one way or other. However, the plaintiffs lawyers have figured out that the courts care. I can't see the US Congress wanting to get involved, and being able to agree on new legislation.
I think the ncaa and some of the top of FBS are essentially stupid. And, of course, greedy.
