Yes he did but it was to a Michigan State transfer. I looked at his tape, looked at his stats….. I think he’d have a chance to start here or at least be a darn good back up. I don’t mind the offer at all.
Jerry rice watch list
Per season all MVFC
MVFC newcomer of the year list
He’s had some accolades.
So you like 53% completion percentages from a 5'11" QB. I get it. The guy that beat him out led them to a 6-6 season. We need more.

Don’t love that completion % no. Cam ended at 60% and you were high on him. This guy had a 53% as a freshman and threw for more yards and more TDs than Cam as a senior.. I think as an upper classmen he will easily hit 60% or higher.

Easily. No projection there. He couldn't start for a 6-6 FCS team so he's your man in spite of no one at our level showing interest. He wouldn't win the job here.

I agree. Britt would. But he’d be a more capable backup than anything we have on the roster.

I'd take him plus look for a senior drop down that has some experience. I like Brown and if he gets a few things together, we might not even need a transfer. Either way, the more competition, the better we will be. If Brown practiced with our 1st stringers consistently and started every game this year, I feel like he would have done better than Cam.

Of course that has to change. Doubt he's in the portal looking for a lateral backup role. He needs a place with lower expectations for the QB than Montana.

I have no idea what you saw this year. There is plenty of data to suggest you're dead wrong. The Griz were two different teams depending on whether led by Brown or by Cam. It was Cam that got us to the quarterfinals. Brown could easily be the next guy in the portal; he must see how little confidence the coaching staff has in him. He has little chance of emerging as the starter next year. Three years in the system, "if he gets a few things together," like what, a release that's too slow to keep him from getting sacked? Think that can be coached up?

Yep. I agree with that as well.

How long did it take Cam to barely get together? Cam Humphrey was not good, accept it. 16 tds to 7 ints and how many fumbles? How many times did he get sacked for not getting the ball out in time? And no it wasn't due to the o Line, he had plenty of time in a lot of those situations.. Thats good to you? Most of his passes lookd like a tornado was passing through. He just knew the playbook better. He was a senior.. also had playing time as a junior. Everyone knows there's night and day differences from fresh/soph to jr/Sr. Brown has a way higher ceiling.

Brown only had significant play time in 4 games and only passed 700 yards less than Humphrey and also finished with a higher completion %. Which the game against Idaho really diminished it with a 55%. Against Sac St Brown completed over 80% of his passes. Brown would have finished with way better stats than Cam at the rate he was going. Y'all just blind by your man love.

There’s only one stat that matters. Getting married to completion percentage or yards is meaningless.

Wow, just wow.

Cam was a good QB, a leader, and sacrificed his body in an effort to help the Griz win. Without Cam, UM would not have made the playoffs. Not a great QB, but a good one who was productive for the Griz. That’s what I know.

Cam joined the team in 2018, Brown joined in 2019. Cam had 128 passing attempts in his first two seasons, Brown had 152 attempts this season. I wish Brown luck but I’ll be surprised if he ever wins the starting QB competition at UM.

No one at our level showing interest? He has 11 other D1 offers FFS, besides UM. What are you talking about?

Central Ark
Chattanooga
SEMO
North Texas
Eastern Illinois
Idaho
UT Martin
Saint Francis
Merrimack
Western Carolina
RMU

I know we were after the Hawaii transfer. He really looked good on film and looked like a good mobile QB option. Idk if the trail went cold on him or what.

The most important thing a QB has to do is to get the ball in the end zone. Brown had a total of 3 TD passes in 152 attempts. Humphrey had 16 TD passes in 233 attempts. Brown's efficiency rating was 123; Humphrey's 142. Ironic that you bring up Brown's impact on the SacSt game, which was lost while Brown was still holding the ball taking sacks (twice) as the clock ran out. No attempt to throw it up for a receiver to make a play or to even throw it out of bounds to get another play. He had just thrown an int and was afraid to throw into coverage, shaking in his boots. Not a good show.

Your hole is getting deep; maybe you should stop digging. It has to be you with the man love blindness.
