I'd take him plus look for a senior drop down that has some experience. I like Brown and if he gets a few things together, we might not even need a transfer. Either way, the more competition, the better we will be. If Brown practiced with our 1st stringers consistently and started every game this year, I feel like he would have done better than Cam.
I have no idea what you saw this year. There is plenty of data to suggest you're dead wrong. The Griz were two different teams depending on whether led by Brown or by Cam. It was Cam that got us to the quarterfinals. Brown could easily be the next guy in the portal; he must see how little confidence the coaching staff has in him. He has little chance of emerging as the starter next year. Three years in the system, "if he gets a few things together," like what, a release that's too slow to keep him from getting sacked? Think that can be coached up?
