From everything I've heard about the Cat team this year, they should win by 15+ points

  That pretty much sums them up. :thumb:

That's funny. After talking to Griz fans lately, I was under the assumption they would challenge Alabama for the BCS championship and perhaps any one of 32 NFL teams for a super bowl victory.
The schtick (by both fanbases) is getting pretty old.

SMU still holds the advantage in overall talent and depth, but you could have said the same for KSU, OSU, and all the other FBS teams that lost last weekend.

Ash seems like the kind of coach that plays it mostly safe in FBS games. Unless the cats are really just that good, I don't see them winning, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

You're lying.

No Griz fan would ever talk to you.

A step up, so to speak....but I too believe this is winnable.....depends on the frame of mind the cats have coming in....think 6 pts either way....

From what I took away from the Cat vs Monoouth game was the the Cat run defense did not look good! I think if SMU has a big line/good RB, they will wear out the Cats! On-the-other-hand, D McGee might score to quickly, and hurt the D's rest time.

Was that when the Cats 2nd string or 3rd string was in?

Your 1st string gave up 100 yrds rushing in the first half. :thumb:

Yep Jst Griz your right! I seen an unimpressive Monomoth, get 4-6 yard carries the first couple of series. Just saying, and Daly can only do so much, when two behemoths are motoring him out of the way.

I think there is a whole different approach in thinking this year with Cramsey on board. I think Ash likes Cramseys offense a lot and he is going to let him take the reigns on the play calling and be SUPER AGGRESSIVE this year (up until 3-4 TD lead and then Ash puts the 2's,3's in again on those blowout type games :thumb: ).

I lived in Dallas in 2008 and drove to Huntsville to see the Griz get thumped by Sam Houston. The Griz players were puking on the field. It will be 97 degrees in Dallas with about 60% humidity at kickoff. I think the Cats have as good a chance as anyone to beat SMU. Conditioning will be a factor though. Thankfully the Griz avenged that loss at home in the semi-final game against SHSU. The heat is different in the south and could affect the out come later in the game. As much as it hurts, I will be rooting for the Cats to win. When we take it to the Cats on Nov. 23rd and beat them by 20, we'll show the rest of the country there is still only one power house in Montana.

Go Griz

Everyone I know and have talked to across the country recognize the Griz as the ONLY powerhouse in Montana. Everyone wants the cats in the playoffs because they believe they'll beat them. I guess that 1-4 playoff record makes at team look pretty weak.

Question: What is the clock doing when your up by 35 early and the other team is running? Just curious :thumb:

Question: What is a supposed top 5 school doing giving up rushing yards to MONMOUTH???

Going down in the polls is easier than a loss to NDSU

actually their first 2 series they ran 6 plays, gained 12 total yards and punted both times...

Yeah you can't block what you can't catch. If 2 behemoths are motoring Daly out of the way then Singleton is just going to notch another tackle for a loss through the GAP :)

We can debate all day but the fact is the Cats destroyed Monmouth and played their 2's and 3's the whole game. It is too early to judge either team just yet.
