A fast pace spread offense that gets more plays offensive in per game vs. a slow-it-down ball control style offense that helps the defense more. It looks like offensively they have more weapons to win a shoot out than defensive weapons that win a slow paced, ball control game.AllWeatherFan said:Speaking of which, Coach Ron Ash was interviewed for today’s Missoulian article about the Cats’ offensive coordinator:
“You have to pick a philosophy and go with it,” [Coach Ron] Ash said. “We’re (trying) to run a lot of plays and score a lot of points. That’s what we want to do on offense.
“We just think we’ll win more games that way, so that’s the philosophy we’re going to choose.”

Wait, so the “philosophy” that Coach Ron Ash is going to choose sometime in the future is to “run a lot of plays?” I was hoping some of you Cat insiders could translate this for me.
Positive - Lots of plays, lots of points, high scoring games. Makes a good offense look even better.
Negative - Little rest for defensive side of ball, resulting in more defensive plays, tired players, high scoring games. Makes a decent defense look not very good.
