On Choate's salary, you guys are looking back instead of forward. No I don't have a link, and perhaps I'm making shit up out of thin air (you decide), but the word is that Sark, in addition to his own ridiculously large salary, negotiated an unprecedented and absurd number for his assistants. Numbers never seen before, anywhere. Choate with his relationship with Pete Kwiatkowski is part of the windfall. Seven figures as co-D Coordinator is what I heard.

I don't know what Choak is making (nor Sark, for that matter), I DO know that the University of Texas has a license to print money when it comes to their football team.

Now are licenses to print money limited to Texas or can you get those anywhere? If so, I want one.

His salary will soon be revealed. If it’s 7 figures absurd is the right word for it.

Why would that be absurd compared to these salaries?

Do you honestly believe the powers that be will let this staff outpay the staff at Texas?

College football is a big business and I for one am pleased many states (usually located in the south) recognize the value of a good football team and the part it plays on the entire college experience, to include but not limited to the community.

In the state of Texas it’s limited to just UT. Not sure about elsewhere. :D

Sark isn’t even getting paid more than Tom Herman. Maybe the staffs salaries will be bigger, but his is definitely not.

Perhaps the buyout in Herman's contract made his salary more, but one has to wonder what anyone out in the middle of noplace even cares why those great college football coaches make what they are paid in football crazy states and universities. At least they play football in some states, even those adjacent to Montana...

:o YOU making shit up? Where, oh where, would we get that idea.
It's a spectrum really.

You mean like on a spectrum with Ron Ash on one end and Choach on the other, and this new guy is undisputedly much closer to Ole Ronny? You probably wouldn’t make that bet either, because you know it’s true too.

If you guys care more about winning press conferences instead of games, why not just hire a WWE or AEW drop out? What You Gonna Do When Grizmania Runs Wild on You, Bruther!

The bolded is scary accurate. Such a perfect way to summarize their thinking.

Personally, I'd like to see the Cats winning in the trenches and extracting the souls of the opponent. Bending the the will of the guy across from you and making that guy look at the clock hoping, wishing the game can just finally end. It's the very essence of kicking somebody's ass.

If you're wondering what that looks like, here's a good example:

It's the only example you can come up with in 35 years.

Your essay about “counter-trolling” and now this? You have some weird fantasies and hobbies. Thanks for posting about them on eGriz.com.

Wait. Do you, by chance, have a strange fascination with trains? Like locomotives? I get major Reporter Michael Falk vibes from you.

Hey, you gotta give props to a master troll when you see one.

A long rant about his own personal art of trolling where he insists he isn't mad and doesn't care, and then try-harding after getting worked up only a page later?

Truly breathtaking.

I will definitely give props to a master troll if/when I see one. You hit the nail on the head with this fella. He goes along just fine for a tick, but then gets emotional and ruins it.

By my calculations, Choate would have cleared $346k this upcoming year just by showing up and having his guys do well in the classroom. This doesn't even take into account any on the field type bonuses, of which there are plenty that could be obtained.

Base - 206k
Coaches Show - 80k
Fundraising - 30k
FBS Game (Wyo) - 15k (just for playing the game)
GPA Incentive - 10k
APR >=985 - 5k
