Oh, there are a lot of concerns. Trust me. Culture had better culture from day one. I know many pretty big boosters who aren’t going to put up with some uncultured soft-nosed Culture.

BN posters (I think) are more concerned with whether Culture can be a stout, proven motivator. They don’t want him to be an unproven motivator, or worse, a proven non motivator. Ideally, you’d want a Culture to be a motivator.

Saw my neighbor. I thought he would be gleaming and proclaiming but he was reserved and a bit dejected. Like he was just glad it was over and how he got to the point where he was willing to accept VanDiest. I think the boobcat hype machine had him whipped into a frenzy.

Finally when the news came out, he was kind of self-deprecating. He said Cowboy and Buffaloes fans hate this guy; horrible play caller and no HC experience. He only got the job because he likes 3yds/cloud of dust (“culture”), was willing to keep staff, in fact would prefer to not even hire a WR coach (no need), and he’s great at managing a “QB carousel“ (and has his own guy).

Poor guy. I told him I would not kick his dog tonight.

Sounds like a nice neighbor trying to make you feel good. He feels sorry for you knowing you are a grade school drop- out. You are fortunate to have him for a neighbor.

That would be my thought too. But perhaps they feel so "hard up" over there, that that was enough.

The whole thing was bobcatted from the beginning. Why force the leftover staff to be retained? The only example I could recall was a disaster (Traitorak).

Why did they need a “search committee”? I don’t remember, do we do that? Seems like our AD just does the hiring without the circus.

And for cripe’s sake why the hell would you put players on the committee? Seems like such a conflict of interest.

I bet the Dillon kid is the happiest Bubcat on earth that Choach is gone. Luckily Choach only dropped his draft stock and didn’t end the kid’s career.

And they put that kid on the committee along with several other current players and staters? He’s great but what are you doing?

Kid was probably thinking, hmm wonder which guy will leave me alone the most? Probably the guy who checks all the boxes, but is the opposite of coach Choach .
