MSU Coaching Search

 you sure about that?
Yes, as a matter of fact, I am sure about that. Most inquiries are not followed up on, and yes, these included washed up DII coaches who will run the program into the ground.

Bahahaha!!! You guys crack me up thinking Bozeman is a destination job. You’re an FCS program, and historically, a really shitty one. It reminds me of a hillbilly who had some luck with Trixie and Tammy back home thinking he has a shot with an actual hot chick in the big city, and falling flat on his face. Everyone is laughing at your program. Do you think just maybe it’s time to aim a touch lower? Fucking clown car act show like you read about.

Serious question, Is Texas really paying $1M for Choate to be a linebacker coach and co-d coordinator? If so, that might be the only thing that makes sense to me to leave your son at MSU high and dry. Still can’t believe he left without finishing their time together.
Yes. My understanding is as much as $1.3M with incentives. The conversation down there from Pete Kwiatkowski was he would take the job if, and only if, he could have Choate as his right hand man. In all places in the CFB world, with the singular exception of egriz.com, Choate is highly regarded and respected as an elite football coach. His career is going to continue to skyrocket and MSU will always know his 5 years in Bozeman was a major inflection point for the program.

The high and dry part is only an egriz narrative, and his son is left to get a degree at a top shelf university and will win many, many football games. Choate left MSU with a shiny new $18.5M facility and a solid foundation to break ground on an IPF in about 1.5 years. In spite of what PR might be saying over here with his blustery bets with anonymous posters, the grizz won't be beating the Bobcats in football anytime soon.

Their last guy in Choate’s exact position made 600k, and that was after a 100k raise. You’re smoking crack if you think Choate is making a 1.3M salary there. I could see 800k tops after all incentives. Until you can prove what you’re claiming (link, story, anything official) you’re absolutely speculating and guessing. I’ll look forward to that link.

with written offers that included Alabama.

I love how Cat-Rolls just make unsubstantiated and unsupportable “facts” like they know as a matter of firsthand fact that it is 💯 true.

Hey buddy, here’s a clue. At most, you just admitted Choach got the job as a “matter of fact” based on total cronyism.

You can’t leave this post at the bottom of page 8. It DESERVES to be at the top of page 9. Too much logic to leave it buried where no one will see it. I’d’ve moved it myself if you hadn’t done the good service of reposting it.

After just a single good year in boz (east LA), Choate new it was time to RUN:

"You know when it's time," Choate told reporters. "It's way better to know when it's time rather than overstay your welcome."

Jeff "Just For Men" Choate was the 9th and LAST coach hired, and will make the same as the other assistants which is between 500 and 800k.

I have to agree. November seems like a really, really long time away.

ABQCat, let's bet $100 on the game. We can put up our money with Kem or Brint. Is this your idea of a blustery bet? What makes it blustery? Just curious.

I think “blustery” is Bobcat for “extremely safe”.

Blustery was a Choate code word for nice breasts. “She’s blustery” like she’s about to bust out of her blouse.

Sorry, but leaving your job as head of the football team you brought your own son into is leaving him high and dry if he is still on that team. As a parent and coach, I truly don't understand how you could leave before they were done. Most coaches literally wait their entire life to coach their son or daughter. In fact, 200 miles down the road Bobby is having a great time coaching Robby. There are too many special memories in this process for the vast majority of coaches to take another job. I guess your rumored money is more important than the family aspect.

Maybe the committee should see if Andy Reid is interested in the open HC position. After that demoralizing loss yesterday, he may be looking for a premier program to hone his skills at so he can return to glory.

“a figure with deep ties to one member of the MSU selection committee.”

Nepotism is alive and well at MSU!
