Munoz got his NCAA Division II record less than five minutes into the game.
The senior from Chino, Calif., buried a 3-pointer from the left wing at 15:39. It was his first 3-pointer of the game and 444th of his career. The previous NCAA Division II record was 443.
Munoz would add four more to finish with 17 points. His final 3-pointer came as the shot clock expired late in the game.
"If it was going to happen, it was going to happen," Munoz said of the national record. "I can't press. I can't let that stuff affect my game.
"It's something I'll look back on my career, when I'm done for a long time and enjoy. Now my focus is Saturday night to play St. Edward's and win the conference championship."
The teams were tied 34-34 at halftime. MSU-B took the lead for good early in the second half, 37-36, on a Buddy Windy Boy 3-pointer.
The senior from Lodge Grass scored 16 of his team-high 18 points in the second half. That included three consecutive 3-pointers and going way up to put back a tip-in off a miss.
"I was fortunate to get some things going in the second half," Windy Boy said. "We just had to play defense. Focus on the defense and the offense will come."
Moritz Wohlers posted another double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Carlin Hughes also had 17 points.
MSU-B led by as many as 19, 68-49, with a little more than six minutes remaining in the game.
"We knew we had to play both ends of the floor," said Munoz. "In the first half, we had some solid moments, but in the second half, our defense really picked up. We got in the passing lanes and put pressure on the ball."
The Yellowjackets scored 18 points on 21 OPSU turnovers.
Eddie Moss led the Aggies with 18 points -- including all four of his 3-pointers -- but had just four points in the second half.
"I thought Jonathan Wiley's defense on Moss was phenomenal," said Craig Carse, the MSU-B head coach.
Just a week ago, the Aggies shut down MSU-B, 80-60, in Goodwell, Okla.
"Down in Oklahoma, I don't know if our minds were totally there," Windy Boy said. "The difference tonight was everybody came ready to play."
Aaron Harrison added 12 points for OPSU while William Preston had 10.
