Is this really from the athletic department? Are they seriously putting out fan art like this for being tied for something after getting beat by FORTY and giving up TEN touchdowns? It looks like a Kobe mural.
You have to admit that 7 rushing TDs in 3 games is really damn impressive considering, at least according to Hooked via Bobcat Nation, has definitively left the program and is no longer in Bozeman. Incredible really. Has to be a record.

Where’s your apology asshole. The only thing I pointed out on you litter nation page was the FACT that Ortt was suspended for PEDs (also known as cheating). And I was 100% right even though you and your ass hat fans went into full melt down mode claiming I was wrong and trolling. Funny how quiet you all got when it came out I was 100% correct. I had no info nor did I contribute to any thread about Chambers. So go fuck yourself.

Wait a minute. Are you saying Chambers is the only option? If so, the only reason I'm posting on this thread is because some grizzidiot said Mellott is the only option.

Perhaps you're saying QB run is our only option? We'll let me give you a quick history lesson. We beat you every year under Choate without a QB who could throw. After not losing for 6 calendar years, we roll into Missoula with a kid that was throw-first, and guess what, yup you guessed it, we lost. Then we put in a run-first kid from Butte and he's unstoppable all the way to the Natty. A freakish injury knocks him out as he was shredding NDSU in his first drive, and we sub in a throw-first QB. Do I need to say it? We lost.

More history: we got Prukop hurt right before the Brawl one year and subbed in Jake Bleskin. Guess what happened. We lost.

Anyone who actually watched the OSU game last week will know for a fact that when House committed to the QB run, we were actually very effective.

The fact that this team is committing to the QB run as I pointed out in the Who Gives a Shit thread should scare the shit out of everyone. Conventional schemes obviously have not worked in the first three games, and the this team is making a change. It should scare the shit out of PR who is attempting some weak-ass smack on how many throwing TDs we have. Doesn't matter. It should scare the shit out marceag who is trying to hide behind some stupid #15 ranking and past history. Doesn't matter.

Up to the point if/when one or both of the two-headed monster becomes hobbled, we will continue to slice through defenses like a hot knife through butter. This is quite simply the team's identity. The Bobcat QBs have averaged 750 rushing yards a season since 2010. This is who we are. Be warned.
Methinks who you are was best illustrated by your defensive performance.
Perhaps you're right. I'm concerned.

I actually read that thread after I heard about it. There was one poster who definitely had a meltdown. Catatonic or whatever. He couldn’t handle the truth about the doping at Bozeman. Sad to see.

Cats have 6 passing TD's and 5 interceptions. 4 of the passing TD's against Morehead St. So, 2 passing TD's total against the other two teams. That is truly pathetic. 283 yards passing in those two games.

Sorry, but a running game with 2 qb's, combined with a worrisome D isn't going to cut it. MSU needs a running game with running backs. I don't know enough to know if there is any passing game potential.

Today should be a telling game for both MSU and EWU.

You may be right. I'll say this: it's impossible to ignore some of the glaring weaknesses this year's defense has shown and I'll stake no claim on how far this team can go this year based on what I've seen so far.

However, my blue and gold colored glasses sees potential in this team. Potential to win the Natty? No freaking way. Potential to win real ugly on the road and protect our house in Bozeman? Hell yes. I still believe the Brawl will decide the conference.

So I am looking forward to a classic old-time BSC game with a 98 - 96 score, setting a new NCAA record for combined kickoffs, and with several emergency spare BSC officials called in and dropped into the inferno by a team of Navy Seals, with dozens of EWU and MsU players choking down gallons of gatorade to combat dehydration and hallucinations, and with the fugly red carpet worn down ( to a faint pink like the pretty carnation on ABQCat's 1975 junior prom tuxedo) to core fibers. Be warned. That is who you are.

Ya, I get looking at the games this far and stats, but it doesn't really mean much. Something to look at for now and make guesses I suppose. Cats crushed two lesser opponents and got crushed by a very good FBS team, so the games didn't really tell us much. As you say, today will be very telling, going up against like competetion. If EWU runs and throws all over us and scores ten TDs..... then yes I will concede our defense is going to suck this year. If Tommy throws a bunch of picks and all we can do is QB run, then yes I'll concede our passing offense sucks. I guess we'll have a little better idea if what we're working with in about 8 hours.

I don’t know. If that happens, we still won’t really know. I mean, it will have only been four games, so you just don’t know how the team is. The first three basically don’t count, and I’m not sure why they were even played. Probably have to wait at least 20 games or so to get a feel for how good the Bobcats can be.

But if Tommy Tutone throws for 450 and 6 TDs, then that’s the norm and accurately Bobsplains everything about the Bobcats and Tutone as a QB. Basically, we’re going to have to wait and see how well they play before we know if how well they play is really how well they play.

I never heard of the Ortt thing. Ignorance is bliss. Had to look it up. Here's the article: https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/sports/bobcats/football/notebook-choate-and-sullivan-earn-scholarships-reed-out-for-the-season-ortt-suspended-5-games/article_2763f600-226d-11ed

"Vigen confirmed Monday that redshirt sophomore defensive back Rylan Ortt, a graduate of Missoula Sentinel, will be suspended for the first five games of the season after failing a drug test.

Ortt failed an NCAA-mandated randomized drug test shortly after MSU’s win over South Dakota State in the FCS semifinals in December. Vigen said Ortt unknowingly took a banned substance that was in an over-the-counter supplement purchased at GNC.

Ortt’s suspension was initially a full season. But following an MSU appeal, it was cut to six games. That started with the FCS national championship game in January and carries through the first five games of the 2022 season.

“It’s an unfortunate learning lesson for all our guys,” Vigen said. “When you put anything into your body, check it out, even if it’s something you can buy at GNC.”"

The wild part is that he said he only took it during summer 2021. So not only was it a magic banned drug, he competed while ineligible for the whole 2021 season before being caught. We shouldn’t talk about that, though.

Ewu defense is really, really bad. They gave up a ton of points to Oregon (70) and even gave up 29 to Tennesse St. I think the cats will easily score 40 points in this one. Can the cats defense (that also looks pretty bad) hold ewu under that? I think so. I’m going cats 42-34

Annnnd Oregon State didn’t smoke the Kittens?

Well that was about right. My takes in this thread were: the Cat defense has glaring weaknesses and I'm concerned, QB run is very tough to stop, and this teams needs to win ugly on the road and protect their house in Bozeman.

Hope Mellott is ok.

Refs were on the Bobcats team. EWU completed that catch and he was down by knee. That call was the worst call I've ever seen.

Bobcats are one dimensional. Defense is really weak compared to previous years. They are middle of the pack at this point. Stop the run and they are done. Get behind and they are screwed. Not being a jerk, just calling it like it is right now. They may end up competing for the Big Sky and today was a good win for them. Just doesn’t look pretty.
