Motivator-Distractor

I've been thinking on this as well.

- On one hand you've got the whole "beat the Cats one more time for Mick" mantra. A certain motivator for the players.

- On the other hand you've got the assistant coaches realizing that in a few weeks time they are either unemployed and searching for a new job or interviewing again to try to stay here.

This. Sugar coat it all you want. MD should have waited to announce his plans. Just one more distractor for UM.

I'm sure Mick shared this with his staff - regardless of whether he announced it last Sunday or next; they are certainly aware of his plans. I don't see that as a distraction for Saturday. The game is too big. So I wouldn't worry about it XP

It would be different if the announcement came out of left field. Or . . . the backfield. ;)

As I know you to be a man of many talents, I don't doubt it a bit. :P

Thank you for the kind words, MsMaroon! Few know this but I once had a promising career in the theater. My 1994 one man show, Liza Comes Alive, was a very well received community theater smash hit until Mitch Snyder (the f***[*]!) wrote that devastating review in the Tacoma Weekly Shopper. By the time the review was picked up by the Everett Little Nickel my community theater career was over.

That must have been devastating.

But I think it may be time for a comeback! Auditions for CLUE: the musical, happen to be occurring here in Missoula on Sunday. A serendipitous opportunity to resurrect that once promising career. Take a look below - surely there is a character among the six that would only enhance and augment your finest theatrical qualities?? Come to think of it, the male roles may spoken for, but since you did Liza - I'm thinking Mrs. PEACOCK might be just the ticket.

Fly in for the game - stay over for the auditions . . . it could be a new opportunity for you to SHIMMER AND SHINE. I'm happy to put in a good word for you.

MsMaroon,

This is quite a tempting of an offer. I know I could nail the Mrs. Peacock character. Unfortunately my parole officer is being a complete jerk and won't allow "out of state travel" because I'm a "flight risk". Whatever! Unfortunately, with the ankle bracelet on, I'm a bit behind the eight ball here...

Damn. I would have given - almost - anything to watch you nail her. Quel domage.

I'd say the boys wanted to win one for the Gipper. Hopefully they want to win a championship for the old boy as well.
