Monte is on the verge of missing the playoffs in the Mascot challenge, not that anyone other than us 11 yr olds care but after this weeks blowout loss to the undefeated mascot he will be 6-4, after starting off like 5-1. This will put him in the pack of mascots vying for the last spot in contention for playoffs.

Hopefully he will be invited for future mascot challenges and hopefully they eliminate this fan voting BS and come up with something a little more equal and worthwhile than just who has the most fan support or who can auto click the best.

CapitalOne is one of those companies that has to spend insane amounts of money on contests like this and funny advertisements to stay relevant. They sure as hell don't survive off of their great service or amazing customer service :evil:

If you ever get a credit card from CapitalOne, read the fine print VERY CLOSELY. If a charge comes through 5 months after you closed the account to an EXPIRED credit card, they'll re-open your account, allow the charge through to the expired card, and then hit you with late fee after late fee for not paying.

Sorry, I really despise them... Between their deceptive marketing, their well documented "accidental" f***-ups on accounts, insane amounts of junk mail, very shady business practices on re-opening accounts and totally worthless customer service reps (I'd seriously rather speak with "Peggy" from their ads) I really don't like them much

That said... I hope they go back to the contest where the Mascots are rated on things other than which fans can click 'vote' the most on their shitty website.

Greetings from East Carolina!

You all realize that USF is behind all of this. They also monitor every post on all schools boards including this one. Other mascots are also being attacked.

ECU was attacked against Wisconsin and Tennessee, not to mention USF
Montana is being outvoted by USF and their machine.
Va Tech is being outvoted by Smokey, not likely
Tex Tech is veing outvoted by Bucky, not likely
ECU is being outvoted by Wilbur, not likely
and Michigan State is being outvoted by Kansas, yeah right.

So what does all this mean. Obviously, the contest is a sham. What can you do about it short of complaining to Cap One.

1. Quit voting because this is a sham.
2. Vote to your hearts content and still lose. (ECU had over 4 million votes and still lost to USF)
3. Outsmart them - (If cap one won't disqualify them, then maybe cancel all of your accounts with them.

To put is into perspective, before cap one removed the ability to see vote totals, I monitored USF's voting speed.(they can vote at 14,000 votes per minute. (I timed ECU during peak voting time and the most we were voting was about 1200 per minute.

B.S. No conspiracy theory at all in this... you search the hash-tags for the individual mascots on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and see the mascot with the most posts is winning. 100 points at once adds up much quicker than repetitive 1 at time clicks(machine or not).
