He'll be drafted in the 3rd round at the latest. It all depends on how he does in the combine. If he blows everyone away, he'll probably go in the 2nd round. If not, still no way he gets out of the third unless something crazy happens.
I'd be surprised if he went in the 4th.. my guess is 5-6th round. But, he'll probably be an UDFA.

lol

Not all my points are necessarily directed at you-I agree with you for the most part, Sask.

Yeah, he IS quicker than Dante Olson. However, Dante Olson never played one snap in the NFL, even though many on this site were similarly praising him before reality set in. Why waste an early draft-pick on a special-teams/back-up guy? That's what Troy Andersen will be in the NFL. I DO believe Andersen will get some NFL opps (and get drafted late), but how many white starting LBS are there in the NFL? I don't know that answer, but I bet it's under 10. I refuse to believe that any NFL team sees him as anything more than a special teams/backup guy.

There has only been one Montana native to play in the NFL the last 3 years (Dissly),so I am rooting for him for that reason, but I will be shocked if he is drafted before the 5th round. I think this 3rd or 4th round (top 100 overall) talk is clueless.

well there were 2 last night.

I believe there are more than 10.

Depending on your stance on the 3/4 and 4/3. There are between 15-20 White starting LB's in the NFL... I say this because a lot of teams list there edge rusher as an LB, but really they are D-ends... Von Miller and TJ Watt are two off the top of my head that are "Outside LB" on the depth chart, but really are end rushers in my mind...

I wouldn't count either of those as LB's, but I still think there are more than 10.

That's without doing a shred of research, because at the end of the day, I really don't care.

Well, I do... And I did. From the starting of 2021 there are 15 that I would consider "LB" (not rush end hybrids...)

nfl.com has him in the 3rd round, the 97th pick overall to the Lions. Dan Campbell would be a fun guy to play for.

Come back to earth a little. Projections Don't Mean Squat

SuckCat and SuckaCat are probably good dudes but there will be no cutting of any slack, least of all for a bub troll around here. The nature and extent of their trollism can be disputed but not the underlying fact itself. It’s like original sin.

I have this reoccurring nightmare that I seize an opportunity to float the beaverhead (or maybe it’s The Jeff; certainly not the Gallatin) with some cool dudes but I do not realize they are bubcats until after the put-in and I’m stuck in a boat with them for the next 5 hours.

This wasn't Mel Kiper but I guess we will all see in a month or so. It is all speculation right now.

My guess will be in that range. Low 3rd..4th round. But you never really know.

There, I fixed it for you.

I’m not disparaging the kid one iota. I’m sure he will post the fastest time in combine history for the 40 yard dash while in shit-kickers.

What I do take issue with is Bubcats spouting crap around here with no support. You guys keep saying he had all these tackles but the paper said he had ONE. Another Bubcat was talking about how the kid is 6% more of some dumb shit, obviously made up. BigLie33 just said the scouts were very impressed and his draft stock has arisen like touch down Jesus on the third day...as if any of those things were ever knowable, let alone provable now.

And incredibly he said this after suggesting that the football scouts don’t go to the football game to see if the football players are any good at playing football.

Let's see what you come up with to discredit this 20yr NFL scout's opinion of Troy Anderson. It is interesting his comments about Troy's performance in the actual game and in practices. Hooked said he didn't do anything in the game and that was a fact. Garizzalies mocked the comments about acceleration numbers and such. This 20 yr NFL scout disagrees. Garizzalies, did you really attend UM?

Oh good, a puff piece from an event director. The only thing that stands out is the info on his short arms. Bad in pass coverage identified. A short coming not coachable. But let's get a second opinion from the director of the Miss Mount Rose Pageant. She's a 20 year jock sniffer at the Vikings' Mankato training camp. I hear she doesn't take arm measurements.

Bobcat fans, I'm going to let you in on something: Sometimes people post stuff that they don't necessarily mean to piss some of you off.

   yep, that 20 yr NFL scout is not credible. NOT! Horribillsfan, it is more like you are embarrassed because this 20yr NFL Scout made most of the posts made by you and your friends on here look like you do not know much about evaluating football talent.

I love all this speculation of fans with rose colored glasses. I remember when everyone on this board including myself was convinced that Dante Olson would be a lock for the draft and have a stellar career. Now the cat fans are saying the same about Troy Andersen. But the difference is that Troy is a 6'4" 240# lb that runs a sub 4.6 40yd. He will get drafted, especially after he lights up the combine.
If anyone wants to bet that he will be drafted later than the third round. I will take that bet for anything you're willing to bet. Just PM me and we'll arrange it.
