Hey, fellas! Glad you're thinking about me this weekend. Well, firt off, congrats on the march towards the tourney. The Griz faced down some good opponents on the way and won some tight games to get to this point. It isn't easy and they did it.

That being said, I'll believe UM's tourney prowess when I see it. That is, last year when Wisconsin was totally underestimated, the Griz fans assumed it would be a competitive game. They also assumed that Harvard would upset the 5 seed, so it meant a walk to the sweet 16. A 20 point loss and total humiliation changed the perspective. Is UM good in the Big Sky? Not just good - dominant. But are they good nationally against FBS conference teams? No. Again, I will believe it when I see it.

I seem to remember everyone saying how tough UW would be. I think you have a selective memory.
 
The more I look at this game, the more it seems like the Sconnie game last year. I just see this team as being too talented for the Griz to hang with for long. Maybe a half. Maybe. It's nice to think that we will be able to penetrate a bit or hit some threes but their length is going to be trouble for our team. However, I don't see Syracuse being as disciplined as Bo Ryan's team, either. So, I think we see the Griz lose but not near as badly as last year. Orange guys win by 15.

Wisconsin shot lights out last year...out of character lights out. If 'Cuse shoots like they normally do I don't see this game blowing up like Wisconsin did...if Cherry insists on driving the lane every possession (like against Wisconsin) and getting his shot blocked (like against Wisconsin) it could be a very long day.
 
Griz wont score 50 against Cuse and this may be more one sided than the Griz UNLV draw when Larry Johnson and Greg Anthony were hangin with Tark.........

Of course there's some difference in talent, but most of these tournament games will be close and can go either way because all teams that get in are good teams.. Nobody saw Bobby Morris last night?

Ya, just a little. As an avid Griz fan I'm hopeful, but certainly not confident. Anything can happen on any given night though.
 
Anyone remember when Nevada's Nick Fazekas (sp) was on everyone's NBA radar and Andrew Strait schooled him in the tourney? He was pretty much never heard from again. Maybe Cherry can do the same to Carter-Williams. I can hope right?

I think it's a hangover effect largely attributed to how poorly we played vs Wiscinsin last year. I think this game is close until the final minutes. Even without Ward, this is a good Griz team. We played Davidson straight up on the road without two of our three best players.

Did I miss something? That statement is absolutely untrue. This has happened 23 times in the past NCAA tournaments...that a 13 seed beat a 4 seed.

Roughly the same, although you don't have the difference in scholarships to contend with.

But that's what I love about Griz BB. You gotta run with the big dogs.
