Montana vs North Dakota State on ESPN (2015)

0 unfortunately. NDSU is having an extremely difficult time finding FBS teams that want to play them in football.

The Griz don't need to play FBS games every year because we typically make more money playing at home than we do playing an FBS team. Also, like NDSU also experiences, regional FBS teams don't want to play Montana for the reasons of having to pay more money or having to risk a higher chance of losing than playing a weaker FCS team.
 
Montana plays three non-conference FCS games this coming season. NDSU, Cal Poly and Liberty. Caly Poly is a non-conference game. And I suspect all three teams will be ranked in the FCS TSN Preseason Poll to start the season. I doubt anyone has a tougher non-conference schedule than Montana. The Grizzlies are playing an FBS game in 2017, at the University of Washington.

Our last FBS win was against Idaho (2003). In fact, we have 4 straight wins over Idaho since they went FBS in 1997 (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003).

Since then we've played and lost to:

Oregon (2005) 47-14 (Oregon went 10-2 that year)
Iowa (2006) 41-7 (Iowa started 5-1, suffered rash of injuries and finished 6-7)
Tennessee (2011) 42-16 (UT was 5-7 that year)
Wyoming (2014) 17-12 (Wyoming went 4-8 this year)

Next one is against University of Washington in 2017.

None. Supposedly couldn't get a regional team to commit. Probably due to big ten not wanting to schedule FBS. I know the ad tried hard.

Why not? Is it because Cal-Poly is in the Big Sky and playing a non-conference game against a team in the same conference is maybe the dumbest fucking thing ever in the history of college athletics?
 
I'm really disappointed that NDSU isn't playing a FBS game but instead playing a d2 type und game, it's. Bad step in the wrong direction for the program. I'd rather do a FBS game the Montana but we will honor the home & home unlike kitty's
