Montana to open 2015 season against NDSU in Missoula on ESPN

So this was taken out of the 2015 Schedule thread, so with this game moved up are we going to have 2 straight weeks off after this game?

Oct. 3 at UC Davis
Oct. 10 vs Weber State
Oct. 17 vs Cal Poly

Cal Poly has a bye to start the year, you would think both teams would be open to moving the 10/17 game to 9/5 and move the bye to October from September

I'm hoping KH had already had this discussion and that is the way its going to, I would think Cal Poly would be up for this as no one wants to have their bye weeks the first of the year. It will definitely be different having 2 bye weeks next year. Just praying that they are not back to back.

Wait, did you get the Holiday Inn Express on Expressway or Holiday Inn Downtown?

If you didn't get the downtown location, try and switch. Worth the money

According to some guys in the PB I talked to back at the South Dakota game, the NDSU game was never going to be at night, even on Sept. 6. The reason being, the Bizon agreed to a day game in Fargo so that UM's charter return would be earlier, and in turn, Montana gave the Bizon the same assurance for the 2015 game in the Zoo. The schedule the way it stands now, the Griz will have two weeks off after the NDSU game. Not ideal, unless Cal Poly is willing to change the game, and I'm sure that will at least be approached by Haslam. I would imagine, if they can move the CP game to Sept. 6, it would be a night game. Other than that, I'm not seeing a potential night game on next year's sched.

And no, I don't think the 2015 game would have originally been against the Cats. Montana and NDSU announced this series all the way back in 2011. I believe the contract the Cats opted out of never did have a return trip to Bozeman in it.

The game the Cat's opted out of was the return game - actually a make-up game for a previous return game MSU opted out of - NDSU went to Bozeman in 2005, MSU was supposed to go to Fargo in 2007, but bailed. MSU promised to make up the game in a later year (which turned out to be 2013) but again bailed.
