Montana State quarterback McKay into the portal

Oh, you’re back. Yay.

Why gone so long after the “beat down of epic proportions” you so accurately predicted??

I tell ya man, Montana needs to ditch that pedestrian 3-3-5 or Er-Bear will shred you all damn day.

I’m thinking 48-14 Eastern sounds about right. I do love beatin up on the griz.

You just love to be drastically wrong all the time, don’t ya. Seems to be an emerging trend over in Bozeman though so…

I think this is the risk you take in the transfer portal world. You don’t really get the ability to vet why someone leaves a program except what is public knowledge or speculation. After a solid season for the cats and a meltdown in Missoula, I can’t believe he’d just walk away when you’re a seeded team in the playoffs. My guess is he didn’t appreciate the constructive criticism after the game and was not going to start this week. MSU will be better without him. He clearly lacks the ability to be a team leader if one loss and some tough film study is all it took.

Great point! Ash has triple-pleated charisma compared to dungaree Sixx.

Ash was the last cat Coach that knew how to recruit a qb.

Coach Sixx has a pattern of losing recruits. First Junior now McCay. I’m sure there will be a complete jailbreak into the portal the day after the cats lose in the playoffs.

Yeah, it kind of blows my mind that they feel like they are only missing a passing attack, and went for a dude whose last gigs were at UNDSU and Wyoming. I guess they really didn't have a choice this time around.

I see what you did there and I like it.

They didn’t have A choice. They had SIX choices.

MSU should have gone with Mellott in the Griz game; McKay was a whipped puppy. Vigen said in his presser that he had to get a lot better. He never was very good. I believe he was not starting and took his ball and left.

Not entirely... Won't get into what I know, but it ain't good. I Wish the kid the best.
OC Housefire detailing how the kid lost confidence and they lost confidence in him probably didn’t help. OC threw the kid under the bus in his first press conference ever, and did it so nonchalantly he didn’t even wear one stitch of Bubcat apparel. Guy looked baked.

They will have a new opening-day starter next fall for the 7th year in a row?

No QB should ever transfer there again with their ridiculous triple option in horizontal precipitation on a frozen tundra and winds this weekend estimated to blow harder than Fraida Felcher. Seriously, Mark Heynka estimates 45mi/hr gusts!

Approximately 2 months ago, my neighbor tried telling me MSC had the best QB “room” in the BSC.

Seriously, I doubt a Frontier conference team would want him. He wasn't very good and what head coach around here would want to take a chance on a guy who came from a place about 2500 miles away and who plays the most important position on the field by far and who quit on his team on the eve of a second round playoff game after a bye week ?

"Ol Coach" Hal Sherbeck, "It is never the fault of the kid, it is always my fault for not coaching him."

He appeared very dispirited after the game. He stood alone at their tunnel, watching us celebrate…..taking it all in, for quite a while. Probably wishing he was a part of it. Never to be.

I am hearing that coach ve6an has completely lost the locker room. Nobody respects him. What little credibility he had with the team has evaporated.

In fact, Bubs just wish the QB could have stuck around a couple more days and quit with everyone else on Sunday when they turn in their gear.

It sounds horrible. Reminds me of Stitt’s first year. Started great and even made the playoffs, but man-o-man was it downhill from there and took years to correct. Would have been better off in the long run not making the playoffs

M'kay I can make shit up too, I here Booby is moving on after this year since Missoula isn't the way he left it.

A fact would be the whole team is excited for Tommy and 100% behind him and Vigen.
