There have been faster times run in the regular track season. State records can only be set during the state championship meet. However, for a 210 pound linebacker to run that 100 is very very impressive. The fast times in Montana were run by guys like Wilson, Steve Heberly, Tuff Harris, and Tyzer Cady who were much lighter and slimmer than this kid. Sounds like he might be coming in as one of our fastest if not our fastest player on the team. Waching his highlight video, it looks like he could be a terror in blitz packages.
HighLineGRIZ said:Just checked Dyestat. He has the country's 10th fastest time in the 100 this year so far. I think I'd give the 10th fastest guy in the country a shot to make our team. Hahaha...
Thetruth, I understand what you're saying. Chris Wilson of the Bobcats is a good example of a kid who was extremely fast but didn't pan out as a football player. Wilson was never real dominant even at the high school level. Looking at Gamboa's tapes, you can see that this kid is a football player. I'm excited about his potential.

It will be hard for any Montana egrizzer to refute your information from down there then. By the looks of your sign up date, and your location. Welcome aboard Gamboas and all of San Clemente, rather you are a relative, good friend, teacher, coach, or just local. I hope you will have some good high school player news for us from that area as long as you choose to be an egrizzer. How about sending a few more like this kid to the GRIZ? :thumb: As you can tell from the posts, GRIZNATION is excited to have him.
Most exciting defensive recruit this year.

He will play a lot of special teams at first...and will probably be in the rotation rather quickly if he picks up the schemes and such. Learning game in college....HS is just go get em!
